Obama Suggests Still Possible Hasan May Have Cracked Under Stress (video-"I'd rather not comment")

"Well, look, we -- we have seen, in the past, rampages of this sort. And in a country of 300 million people, there are going to be acts of violence that are inexplicable. Even within the extraordinary military that we have -- and I think everybody understands how outstanding the young men and women in uniform are under the most severe stress -- there are going to be instances in which an individual cracks. I think the questions that we're asking now and we don't have yet complete answers to is, is this an individual who's acting in this way or is it some larger set of actors? You know, what are the motivations? Those are all questions that I think we have to ask ourselves. Until we have these answers buttoned down, I'd rather not comment on it."

Actually this was the first terrorist attack on US soil since 9-11. The guy stood on a chair, yelled that he was "keen on Allah", and started shooting. He basically chatted with Al Qaeda on Facebook and wore a turban for god's sake. If Obama admits that, though, he's admitting we're not safe under him. Or, even worse....

It is hardly the first “attack”

And that doesnt take into account the one’s we’ve intercepted...

And somewhere...someone is plotting the next one...

Am I the only one here that thinks this was some guy that simply cracked and there was really no terrorist connection? I mean, Al Queada didn’t exactly give him strong support ala how Hitler didn’t give the Amerikanner Bund strong support either.

"I'd rather not comment."

Mr. Obama did not seem to feel this way about the good Harvard Professor, the police officer event, when obama summarily poured scorn and contempt over the officer who was doing his job. He presumed the police officer was the violator of the professor's rights. Now, with 14 dead (counting the baby) and some 500 witnesses to a terrorist jihadist attack he would rather not comment. He refuses to acknowledge the screech of 'allah ackbar' is by definition when accompanied by an assault on innocents, is jihad. He refuses to acknowledge the myriad of e-mails to known al quaida operatives in Yemen was not the ravings of someone who 'cracked', but rather the deliberate act of a jihadist who was committed to killing innocents and in who's world it is a cerebral, deliberated, decision not by a mentally derranged individual, but the following of this mans dictum from his god and who is at war with the west.

Where will the next attack occur? The mall? The sports arena? The ice rink? This 'test' of our committment proved to the terrorists that the leadership of this country is more concerned with diversity and political correctness than security and victory. We, as a nation, via leadership, have lost our willl to prevail in the clash of worldviews. So now we wait. 'We' prefer not to comment on the obvious.

Like my brother said on 9-12, "Someone has to win!" We wait while they wage war. A little at a time. They wage war and Obama fiddles while Washington burns.

It is clear that the country is lead, including the army, by politically correct delusional leaders, exemplified by the general who gave a speech at Fort Hood, when he said, "The greater tradgedy would be to lose the army's diversity, than the loss of these military men and women. He fleshed out the truth in that one sentence and we had better see it for what it is and get rid of such leaders. Diversity at the expense of lives. It did not have to be this way. But we, the American people, are playing catch-up while our generals have been taught graduate level courses in political correctness. See it for what it is and reject such folly. The lives of our children and grandchildren depend on men and women who understand the times and know what we should do. As for me, I will remain, politically UNcorrect.

Excellent question! Here in New Zealand we have a legal concept called sub judice, which prevents matters being discussed publicly when they are before the Courts. It is taken very seriously and can get a person into serious trouble.

What a shame you Yanks don't have a similar concept.

Unlawful Command Influence
Mortal Enemy. Unlawful Command Influence (UCI) has frequently been called the “mortal enemy of military justice.” UCI occurs when senior personnel, wittingly or unwittingly, have acted to influence court members, witnesses, or others participating in military justice cases.

Another apologist for the Jihadi.

Perhaps he supports him because Vegans are all Terrorists too.

They are Allied with ALF and ELF, Both Terrorist organizations.

No, this guy did Not have an Al-Qaeda membership Card.

One of the tactics of Recruitment is to encourage independent action, a deliberate Decentralization to Blur the threads of contact to make it more difficult to Identify active members.

Yes, there have been some group actions But many more seemingly Independent actions.

This Guy had been Forcibly Proselytizing for Islam.
And making Multiple statements Justifying Murder of Infidels.

All of this Grew out of Islam, Not Stress.

Some have argued that he was Stressed because of his Job.

The Soldiers he counseled Had Not been Deployed Yet so they had No Negative experiences to share, Ergo No Associative stress.

Quoting Pete Hoekstra the ranking Republican on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence:

“President Obama said people should not jump to conclusions about what happened at Fort Hood, but the administration is in possession of critical information related to the attack that they are refusing to release to Congress or the American people,”

“Over the past 24 hours, I have been made aware of information from the intelligence community that suggests the possibility that serious issues exist with respect to the performance of U.S. intelligence agencies in connection with what appears to have been a terrorism-related attack on Fort Hood, Texas by Nidal Malik Hasan,” Hoekstra wrote. “I am disappointed that the administration has not been more transparent with the American people.”

Get Off your ass and educate yourself.

Serious stuff is happening and Obama is stalling.

Could it be they are using this time to scrub the records?

We will never know if a major Investigation is not begun Now.

Senator Lieberman had it right when he said, whatever the cuase, we need a thorough investigation.

Obama on the other hand has alreay made up his mind. I expect that thanks to him and his cohorts, there will be no real investigation. The whole matter will be swept under the rug.

So this guy was stressed?? Give us all a break, the terrorist was a Doctor who was paid by our government to go to school for a total of 10 years....that’s right, 4 years at VPI and 6 years med school. Then he did 6 years at Walter Reed doing his residency and fellowship. He had not gone to a war zone, had not seen any violence. Keep making excuses O, helps to bring you down.

Gang members across the country kill other gang members in their own wars daily and not one of them is called a nut case. They are motivated by their own desire to conquer and retaliate.

But if the formalized Islamic war of Jihad is mentioned somehow the killer is an innocent victim?

Nope. Not in my book. The Jihadist is motivated by his own desire to conquer and retaliate. Just like all the other thugs and murderers.

Is anyone mentioning the fact that all the murdered people were white? What if a shooter went in somewhere and picked out 13 blacks to murder? Or 13 Middle-easterners? Do you think that fact would never be mentioned?

In the late 70’s and early 80’s, when I was an Army wife, I saw a higher proportion of blacks in the Army than in the general population. Maybe that has changed now? At that time, it would have been hard to spray a room with shots without hitting any black people. Is this just a coincidence?

Event being used to marginalize, demoralize and feminize the military. Another area where the cancer HAS TO take hold with propaganda spin from the media to show how ineffective and antiquated the military of old is and how he needs to make the necessary changes to bring about a new national defense force. The terrorist shooting was the cause, this is now the effect.

Obama won't acknowledge Hasan was an enemy agent, a jihadist who declared war on American GIs. We're not allowed to go there. Talk about political correctness and denial in extremis.

No.

Many realize that's the case, but why bother jump in and get kicked by all the knee-jerks.

His radical Islamic background directed the way he did things, and it's terroristic himself, but it's not a connection to a larger organization.

Read about the Amerikanner Bund and Nazi Germany to find analogs between this whacko and his relationship with Al Queda. Terror groups like this want to be associated with the calmest, clearest thinking people possible because psychotic people like Malik are too mentally unstable to be used as a face for their movement, not to mention that they’re very uneasy to control.

In all likleyhood, he’s a loser that’s not even taken seriously by his own kind. It would be funny if 14 of our bravest people didn’t die because of his temper tantrum.
Death is too good for this loser if they execute him. It’ll just make him feel like a martyr and he’ll probably get some street cred in the old ‘hood.

And no, I’m not connected with any vegan terrorist organizations.

I disagree. The OJ Simpson murder trial could never have happened in New Zealand.

OJ would have been granted interim name suppression and the media would have been injuncted.

The trial would have been conducted out of the glare of the media circus and, based on the facts before the courts a conviction would probably have been entered. Name suppression would have been lifted and the media would have been given the true facts to report.

Similarly, Michael Jackson’s trials could not have happened in New Zealand. He’d probably be alive today, doing hard time in Mt Eden Gaol.

The Sub Judice concept is a great protector of individual rights and freedoms, and it is a great way to curb Trial-by-Media. You Yanks ought to adopt it: it works well in most of the Commonwealth countries.
