I don’t blame them! Graham has been drinking the global warming kool-aid just to be “Mr. Collegiality.” Of course we cannot forget his behavior concerning amnesty for illegal aliens.

Graham is just a country boy that wants to be an elitist. In so doing, he is leaving behind the people he represents. It’s time for them to leave him behind.

Excellent!

Lindsey is a disgrace, and needs to be kicked out of government at the earliest opportunity. His support of Cap and Tax has put him WAY over the top.

Not for 5 years. SC had their chance to replace Tinker Bell with a real conservative in the last election but failed to find an alternative candidate. There’s got to be a conservative in SC who can challenge him in the primaries next time around...there just has to be.

Most likely the Democrats will be in such sorry shape after 2010 that a new party “Progressives” will emerge and Gomer will then decide he can go to them without being a turncoat and jumping to the faltering Dems.

To be fair, he’s done pretty good on rallying against the ghastly Obamacare.

However, it stands in stark contrast to his usual, despicable/McCain-in-Training, behavior.

Obamacare is so bad that even this RINO stands up against it.

Even if done, such a law would not be recognized by the U.S. Senate; nor would a term-limits law for that matter either. People in SC like long-term incumbents, and he could be around for a near eternity.

Lindsay Graham became a hero during Clinton’s impeachment hearings - then something happened.

Perhaps he is pandering to the influx of Northern Liberal retirees who have moved and registered to vote in South Carolina.

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/20877.html

But the influx of northeastern retirees to the coastal “Low Country” and of younger transplants to growing upstate job centers such as Greenville is changing things.

He was just recently reelected, The Republican Party did a good job of clearing the primary slate for him. None of the states top republicans would challenge him. He was easy pickings too.

The resolution mentions Graham's cooperation with U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., on a bipartisan energy bill, and his support for the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program and the time he called some opponents of immigration reform "bigots."

has a lifetime conservative voting record of 90 percent and last year was rated the 15th most conservative senator by National Journal.

"Like former President Reagan, he strongly believes elected officials need to find common ground and work together to solve difficult problems like making our nation energy-independent and protecting our environment," Graham's spokesman Kevin Bishop said

OK, he supports his party on the majority of relatively minor issues but when it come s to gravely important matters he deserts his party and sides with the opposition.

Yes he is a great Republican stalwart.

Other states have laws that allow for this and so should South Carolina. If enacted into state law, and if an actual recall drive met the requirements set forth by the law, then it wouldn’t really matter what the US Senate, lindsay or Zero thought of it. A special election WOULD take place and a replacement WOULD be elected and sent to the US Senate. Any “difficulties” with the US Senate after that point would be icing on the cake.

I get a little (OK, a lot) POed at politicians that claim to have to find middle ground.

Take Gun control - one side is “ban all guns” the other is “no more laws”. Middle ground is moving from “:no more laws” to only a few more, and a few more, and a few more, and a few more.

Keep finding middle ground and you’re simply moving to the left at a slower pace.

Lindsay Graham became a hero during Clinton’s impeachment hearings - then something happened.

He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1994 so he was a back bencher when the impeachment hearing got under way.

Being involved deeply in the impeachment was a way to get noticed and get lots of press coverage.

Then there is the effect of being in Washington for an extended period of time. The longer that a politician is there the easier it seems to be for them to surrender their principles for political expediency, campaign contributions and good press.
