Ensign Gay from Torpedo 8, for instance. Lone survivor of a squadron of heroes.
I live in Salt Lake City and many of my Mormon friends are very offended by this cave in to Political Correctness. The LDS may be losing members.

The LDS is losing members in droves, but not because of things like this. The availability of sources and information on the internet has done them a lot of harm.
A quick glance at sites like exmormon.org or a visit to an evangelical church in Provo or SLC areas give some idea of the numbers who have left.
Sadly though, less than 50% of those who leave the LDS church turn to Christianity. Many are so wounded/confused/angry that they reject God altogether.
Although, this may be a “point of departure” for some to finally leave the LDS>
My stepmother rented a house in Georgia to a woman, then was shocked when she showed up with a husband of another race. She politely told the couple she could not rent to a mixed race couple—that was not accepted in the small town Georgia neighborhood. And that was the end of it—nobody tried to tell her who she could and could not rent her house to.
Uh oh!...What happens when Lisa, the receptionist, comes to work as Larry?
I know all about “families are forever” and godhood and spirit babies and the core of families to the LDS. Been there, done that.
But there was time when the blacks and the priesthood thing were just as cut in stone and they waffled on that. They see their doctrines as changeable (hence the need for a prophet) and change them they do.
So you’re stepmom is a bigot?
I can’t believe nobody has asked the obvious...can you have more than one husband?
Nobody called her that when this happened back in the 70’s, but she probably would run into trouble today. That’s just the way things were handled.
Let's hope not, he is very pro-homosexual.
"One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clintons dont ask, dont tell, dont pursue military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nations military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share."
Sincerely, W. Mitt Romney
