Is this someone who can step up and fill the abysmal leadership void in the Gutless Old Party?

I read here earlier today that he missed his son’s wedding last Saturday to fight the healthcare monstrosity bill, which got voted on long after the wedding was over. Now that’s commitment to the people who elected him.

You’re very lucky. We have been working with Steve on immigration issues. He is the best guy in Congress on that issue. We need 535 Steve Kings in Congress.

Does anyone know anything about the “Washington News Observer” that did the interview? I have started seeing their logo all over the network news lately. Seems to have come out of nowhere and become a major player. Are they conservative, liberal, of neither?

He is one of the best we have in the House — wouldn’t mind supporting him for President after several interviews I have seen recently. I love his tell it like it is style!

I am so impressed with him and how he handles himself in interviews and on the floor of the House — he truly is a gem!

Lucky B@st@rd!

Cursing is for US Navy Vet, and I assumed,

(God Forbid)

since he was in the Navy, it would be taken as such.

Conservativegreatgrandma is very lucky as well.

(without the harsh language,of course!)

He is absolutely awesome - where have all these people been hiding.

I’m adding Steve King as an all time favorite. He’s a keeper!

Now lets get the snot nosed brats out of Congress and our House.

When I saw the headline I was shocked—I thought the novelist had seen the light. (That’s not likely.)

Did you see the thread about him missing his son’s wedding?

I wish I had the power to appoint the next president.

Did you see him take on the commissioner of football, defending Rush? I heard Rush react to it and he was humbled by what Steve had done.

Actually, I'll take some of the credit for him being there. I've known him for many years and when he decided he was going to run for congress, there were 3 other men also running. Iowa law says a candidate must get 35% of the vote in a primary in order to become the official candidate for that seat or the election would go to the district convention delegates.

I figured there was a good chance it could go to convention so I went to the caucus to get myself selected a delegate to the convention.

Sure enough it ended up in convention. Steve's brother and SIL live in my county and we had everyone of our delegates support Steve at convention except one.

Steve won by less than 20 votes. We're in a heavily Republican district so the rest is history.
