California beauty queen Carrie Prejean continued promotion for her book, "Still Standing: The Untold Story of My Fight Against Gossip, Hate and Political Attacks," while withstanding the embarrassment of a steamy tape she made being leaked to the press the week of the book's launch.
But, she reveals in her book, some of those who have criticized her for being too sexy are the same high-ranking pageant officials who pressured her to vamp up her looks.
In the book, Miss Prejean said Miss California Pageant Director Keith Lewis pressured her to get breast implants after physically examining her hips and breasts while she was wearing a bikini at his request.
"He told me the pageant would pay for it and it had to happen soon," she wrote. "He also said he knew a doctor in Los Angeles who could give us a discount."
She said Mr. Lewis would also follow her into dressing rooms, where she would strip down to her underwear, to watch her change clothes. Miss Prejean said she didn't think he ever meant anything sexual by it, because he was gay, but that doing these things sent the message that "you're mine now, and I'm going to fix you, and shape you and mold you however I want."
Another official, who later turned on her, she said, ordered her to dye her hair the same shade of actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
Miss Prejean also recounted an occasion in which Miss USA co-owner Donald Trump pitted the pageant girls against each other, asking them to say who was "hot." Miss Prejean said he divided them "between girls he found attractive and those he did not," causing some of the young women to sob after he left.

The story is fake... Carrie Prejean is acting... and there are PR people forcing this story to stay in the news...
It may not have been a good idea to select a Beauty Contest Contestant as a leader of conservative clause.
Nor was it a good idea for Carrie to step out of the Beauty Contest business and into the leader of a moral cause when she knew she had a sex tape floating around out there.

Yeah, this is as good an example as any of Hannity looking and sounding like a ‘meathead’. One could think of a far better ‘symbol’, if symbol is indeed what he is looking for, for ‘conservative values’ being subjected to what he LOVES to call ‘vicious attacks’ than the admittedly very good looking Ms. Prejean.
And are you saying that she can’t express an opinion about gay ‘marriage’ because she made a sex tape?
She refused to worship at the altar of Gayness. I don’t care if she’s made a stream of porn videos with Newt Gingrich. She has a right to her opinion and to make it as loudly as she wishes.

A lot of people wise up/get right with God as they mature. The idea that you can never be a Christian, a conservative, etc. if you have ever done anything wrong in the past would preclude anyone on earth from being a Christian.

I never did say that she did not have the “Right” to express her views on gay marriage. In fact, Carrie has as much right to express her view on gay marriage as Ellen DeGeneres.
And I have a right to express my views of those who appear in a sex tape one day and then speak at the Values Voters Summit and say:

This is true. It is certainly true of me. I just don’t think taking off your clothes, masturbating in front of video camera, and sending the tape to your boyfriend is the mark of a “conservative” girl or woman. Neither is walking around in a bikini on national television. (At least Sarah Palin wore a one-piece) The impression I have of Carrie Prejean is that she wants to be accepted for “who she is” but still needs to do a little values clarification. That may come with time. It may not. The best thing she can probably do is get married.

It is unfortunate that, perhaps because of her broken home situation, she did not have a supportive mother or family member to chaperone/advise her.

I would not know.
However, i would never equate winning a beauty contest with going to Heaven and getting a bigger crown.
Nor would I believe that holding a particular social-political view would be a determining factor in how I fair in the afterlife.

You seem to think that she just made this tape recently. It was made 5 or 6 years ago when she was a teenager. My point was that someone can be not conservative or not Christian as a child and mature past that as they grow up.
Why do Christians allow non-Christians to set Christian standards?
And a professed ‘Christian’ woman cooperates with these sick men while they exploit her and treat her like a piece of meat, and ‘force’ her to alter her body and appearance, because....???
I don’t blame her as much as her pastors. Most churches (and I refer to the ‘conservative’ ones, not the utterly apostate, liberal ones) are teaching such a low view of God and such a high view of sinful, fallen man, that a very large percentage of ‘conservative Christians’ believe God thinks her behavior is just fine, or at worst petty transgressions that require no repentance.
The real “crime” this young lady committed was sticking up, more bravely than 95% on this board would, for her Christian beliefs. Now she is being ruthlessly persecuted with lies and distortions and most here just jump on board, to the point of questioning her intelligence even. I doubt if any of you would be able to handle yourselves with as much grace and courage as this young lady. Shame on you.

Conservatism doesn’t fit ,in my view,with a narrow static definition that liberal MSM are usually and relentlessly trying to spread and nail about conservatives.
True conservatism should be seen as the movement for traditional values and real progress,moral principles AND REAL tolerance AND REAL compassion AND THEN the movement for REAL FREEDOM(nothing to do with the LIBERAL MORAL LICENCE leading to tyrany)

That is true, but I wish Miss Prejean would demonstrate some maturity and growth before marketing herself as a conservative, Christian leader and role model.
She seems to view herself as totally innocent victim of liberal smears, as opposed to a young woman who has been traveling down a sinful path, utterly unacceptable to our Holy God, who needs to repent and turn from that path.
I was looking around to see if I could find out when she made this tape. No luck so far. She is 22.
My points are these:
It takes a certain kind of woman to enter a beauty pageant.
It takes another kind of woman to be photographed in the nude.
It takes another kind of woman to make a sex tape.
It takes another kind of woman to make a “sex tape” of herself.
And it takes another kind of woman to sign an agreement with a pageant saying she had never been photographed in the nude when she knew she had been, more than once.
You can be a bold Christian. You can even be a “bold” conservative, but I don’t think any of the women described here fit into that category.
Sarah Palin grew up, and I don’t think she would allow herself to be photographed in a bathing suit today if she could help it. (and not because she’s worried about love handles).
Carrie still has a way to go.
In ‘standing up for her Christian beliefs’, she basically articulated the same position on same sex marriage held by Barack 0bama.
Don’t get me wrong, she was courageous to at least somewhat stand up against the homosexualist mafia, but being right on one issue, while unapologetically living a life largely in opposition to God’s Word, does not make one a Christian, and especially not a Christian leader or role model.
Would you accept a stripper or porn star as a ‘Chritian leader and role model’, simply because she was pro-life or anti-gay marriage?
