...."This is a good example of why I don’t think the Church should weigh in on specific legislation".....

I think he probably just said it wrong. What I think is the "right" people need to state the church position. When someone such as Father Phlager saddles up with Reverend Wright and Louis Farakkan, the Church should discipline them because they aren't representing the real church. Are they getting permission to do and say these things? Maybe they should also be disciplined. With all these church "spokesmen" talking, it's hard to control your message. Kinda like Pelosi saying abortion isn't settled yet in the church right before meeting the pope.

Rush rarely covers abortion and homosexual issues. While he takes every opportunity to make jokes about the government schools, he has never ( to my knowledge) covered the fundamental problems that make reform of government schools impossible, or offered any solutions.

And,...Then there are some **glaring** constitutional issues that he flat out refuses to cover. Obama’s natural born status is one. He has even gone so far as to lie saying that he does not who Phillip Berg and Larry Sinclair are.

So?...Should you send this to Rush? Sure! But don't expect him to cover it.

OK..Rush doesn't cover a number of issues but what he does do ( although limited) is brilliant.

Oh, I agree with you, D-fendr. There's a great deal of good sense in what you say.

But it's all that, PLUS journalistic fraud. The bishops --- they're pathetically divided on PelosiCare. Some are just yearning to support it --- yet not a few explicitly oppose it (including almost 50 bishops who, according to Raymond Arroyo of EWTN, have objected to PelosiCare on the basis of "Subsidiarity": that's catholictalk for "Why So Socialist?") which means they still presumably object to it, Stupak Amendment notwithstanding. But what do we hear about this? Zero. Nada.

But No bishop has actually endorsed HR 3962, despite all their equivocating ecclesastical bafflegab. And the USCCB has NOT endorsed it. But Chris Korzen's bogus "Catholics United" group engineered this fraudulent journalistic coup, and it's now made its was to 10,000 media outlets and blogs. Lies, Damnlies, and Press Releases.

And while this is going on Lynn Woolsey and a rep from CO are asking for an investigation of the Bishops and removal of the Church's tax exemption. They are getting it both ways.

People like me who have been straining every muscle to get bishops to break out of the left-wing puzzle maze, are reduced to bashing our heads against a wall.

But no. We're going to fight them.

D-fendr: pray hard, and fight.

You still have that list of Bishop Contacts, from the old Daze of the Battle of Notre Dame?

Well, that’s pretty unambiguous.

Except it’s also completely untrue. The Conference of Catholic Bishops did not urge Catholics to “lend their full-throated support” to the Democrats’ healthcare bill.

And they didn’t give a stamp of approval...

$$$$$

When we think the “news” media cannot sink any lower, something like this “report” proves us wrong yet again.

Just WOW!!! They don’t even care if they are caught in lies. And they are counting on Big Gov to bail them out. Why not? They are lapdogs of this administration and Congress.

That is an interesting blog, especially since what the writer seems to want is for journalists to find, and report, the TRUTH, in its entirety! It’s refreshing to read.

Refreshing is right. The guy who started this blog, Terry Mattingly, is an old bud and a stand-up guy.

equivocating ecclesastical bafflegab

ROTFL! Oh my, is THAT ever an appropriate description of what comes out of the USCCB most of the time!

The Los Angeles Times is run by certifiable crazies.

Lived there for 29 years—and didn’t take long to quit reading that rag.
