In her new book, according to the Associated Press, Sarah Palin alleges that the McCain campaign gave her a $500,000 bill to pay for the campaign vetting her for the VP nod. She also makes the charge that the McCain camp said they would have paid all the bills had they won, but since they lost, the bills were her responsibility.

It wasn’t 500,000..it was one tenth of 500,000 which is 50,000 and that has already been proven fact. Again, these idiots in the media take exerts from a book and report it as fact. That is NOT what the book says, she specifically writes one tenth of 500,000..good Lord, again with the senior McCain people..hey McCain people, instead of hiding, why dont you come out and SHOW YOURSELVES instead of hiding with this anonymous BS. Sounds to me like Juan McCain and his assorted group of backstabbers can’t get their story straight.

Sarah Barracuda: The original website had it right, I followed the link and it was “about 10% of the $500,000. It looks like C4P picked it up wrong.
I do remember from last year some talk about Sarah wanting the campaign to help with some of the legal bills.
All that said, I trust Sarah more than any other pol until proven otherwise.

Not only isn’t he a gentleman, but; Following the old adage that where there is smoke there is also some fire, I believe McLame really WAS guilty of some kind of collusion with the Cong, and backstabbing his fellow prisoners in Nam. No one knows what is in the book..the AP came up with some exerts, but after a while(What else is knew) they reversed what they wrote and put in 50,000..NO ONE knows what she wrote..what people are doing right now is what they are always doing when it comes to Sarah Palin, either making stuff up outright or fudging the truth

...NOT Governor Palin, who apparently had the facts (they sent her a bill for 10% of that $500,000) CORRECT in her new book.
I heard where she didn't put an index in her book so anyone who wanted to know what was said about them would have to read the whole thing to find out if they were in there. If she did indeed write one tenth of 500,000 she tricked them again knowing they can't read. Because wouldn't you normally just say 50,000?
