It appeared from the video that Obama was looking down at what was proably a talking points/briefing book to keep him on message. His failure to respond to the question about whether the decision to drop nuclear weapons on Japan was correct or not, was probably not one of the items on his talking points cheat sheet.
A non-answer was probably better than his typical apology. However, it was an unsatisfactory response for America. This man is a disgrace.
There had been a rumor circulating that Barry would apologize for Hiro and Naga and describe the bombing as a “war crime.” I have absolutely no doubt this speech was under consideration at the WH.
