All our young men and women in Afghanistan need are a clear mission, the tools to complete it and the support from home. There is nothing worse than an army without purpose.

Our troops are too honorable for this, but I wish that they would refuse to follow orders and go on strike until their Commander-in-Chief decides whether or not to win in Afghanistan or to withdraw. Obama is bleeding out our troops in Afghanistan by his dithering.

Its a fine charity that I’ve supported.

But what we really need to send the troops is a real Commander in Chief, one who can make a decision instead of flying around the world apologizing for America.

If Obama is not going to support the troops in the Middle East then bring them home.

If he decides he wants to declare victory he needs to stop dithering and send enough troops in to do the job.

It’s an easy choice to make...unless you’re The One!

My Nephew Chris who spent two tours in Iraq hates A-Stand.

"It sinks here and there are a million flies"

I haven't asked him a lot of other questions but I get the feeling that they just don't want to be there and they don't want us there.

I still know fellow soldiers over there and they have said that they are really pissed off this year.
There has been no back up for them and they need more help.
They are out on an outpost in HeLmund province and the problem is that the military for the UK and us are stretched out too far and we need more men

obama is really putting down morale from what I know and they are no w fed up of how they are being treated. The plan was to get Bin Laden and his sidekicks including the taliban.
The obama comes in and he says he will talk to moderates in the taliban which even the taliban laughed at because there is no moderates .

Now the white house is saying how they might just go back to how it was under clinton which was a joke.
Now he will NOT make a decision which is having an effect

This is appalling and either this President gets a grip and starts to show some leadership or the morale is going down even further

Every site I have been to is running this AP story, indicating that morale is down because “the war is 8 years old”. But there was no problem when it was 6 years old, or even seven.

Morale is down because they know Obama is not in it to win it - his goal is to cut and run. Who wouldn’t be low over it? My cousin’s son had a concussion, and was put back into combat a few days later, because Obama never sent the proper reinforcements. Would that not kill your morale?

“Well, for starters, we can impeach this lying pile of elephant dung.”

- I would pay good money to see that. And to think, Bill Clinton was impeached with a lying under oath charge. What Obama has done, and will do, far surpasses anything Clinton did. This will only get worse the longer that Stalin-wannabe is in office.

What is interesting is that the military angle was not always affiliated with Conservatism. There was a time in which they were indifferent to either party, but then the Dems decided not to support them. And then that responsibility fell upon us.

I had two tours in Iraq coming home in Nov. of 05 Troop moral was high because we had a real CIC and knew what the mission was- To liberate the Iraqi people from the Saddam Hussein dictatorship. My heart bleeds for the boots on the ground in Afganistan because of the cowadice of the current white house occupant. Grrrr—Spit

They now see from the CinC dithering and non decision making that they are expendable and there will be no victory, just another Vietnam. My morale would be bad too.

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.

This takes just 10 seconds and it’s a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you’s.

Thanks for taking to time to support our military!

I have to say, I know psychiatrists and psychologists—I would never use one or advise a loved one to use them. Almost without exception they’re the most screwed up people I know. There are countless people harmed by the drugs they prescribe. I think love, community, purpose and prayer can go a long way for people who are depressed or feeling anxious and overwhelmed. If you thought any day could be your last day and you saw young people in their prime killed or maimed, wouldn’t it be NORMAL to feel stressed, depressed, anxious and overwhelmed. Then top it off with nobody back home seems to care. Where is the support? This article almost seems to suggest that answer is more freaking psychiatrists! Give me a break! The answer is a clear cut mission and exit plan.

One would almost think that zero thinks that soldiers vote Republican too much on those pesky absentee ballots.

He was way too chicken (or maybe just not a citizen...they do still require a birth certificate to join the service, don't they?) and didn't serve in the military...every time I seen him swing that limp-wristed salute I nearly puke.

I think military service should be a prerequisite to being a president, but hell, these days we don't even require BC.

How about a comparative to the "Bush Lied" chant...Try these I made up:

"obama dithers, the solder withers";

"obama stalls, a soldier falls";

"while obama decides, a soldier dies";

"while obama decides, more coffins arrive"

"while obama dallies, AlQueda rallies"

"while obama lags, more body bags"

I'd like to hear a chorus about 500,000 Tea Partiers chanting something like this outside the White House, 24 and 7 for about a week when junior gets back from his apology tour.

Barry says he “wants to get it right” on his Afghanistan decision. And he had better. Because George Bush “got it right” when he made the decision on the Iraq surge and that is the standard by which he will be judged.

It’s got to be tough on our Troops without a clear path to victory and leadership from the Whitehouse. The Ditherer in Chief must not be bothered.

Yes, and because he sees himself as the anti-Bush, he can't follow in Bush's footsteps and do a surge.

He can't disappoint his Left-wing base, the Nobel Committee or his Saudi sponsors.

When you think of it, the irony is great over Afghanistan. When the Soviets were fighting this war, the U.S. supplied the “insurgents”. The cost of the war to USSR actually contributed greatly to its downfall. Now we are fighting the same war and I’d bet money that Russia is supplying the “insurgents”. We will either have to go in massively and wipe Afghan. off the map, or it will break us too. We will have another generation of psychologically wounded soldiers; soldiers who had to accept defeat knowing that they could have won. The evil done to these young men and women is beyond imagining. It is heartbreaking.

Seems like the rule of engagement are really hampering our soldiers. It’s the vietnamization of war, where PC fighting tactics are put in place and ultimately the soldiers pay for it.
