Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin turns more political in her interview with ABC's Barbara Walters.
Their chat starts on Tuesday's "Good Morning America." Palin's first interview to promote her book, "Going Rogue," aired today on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
Palin has blasted President Barack Obama's push for health-care reform by saying the changes would open decisions on the elderly and disabled to "death panels." Obama has blasted that criticism as "a lie, plain and simple."
Palin notes that the words "death panels" are not found "in any of those thousands of pages of different variations of the health-care bill." Yet Palin adds that the president is "incorrect, and he is disingenuous."
The woman who was John McCain's running mate last year hails the tea party movement. She says that the McCain campaign was wrong to support the first bailout package.
"That very first bailout, yes. Now we have learned, too, it didn't fulfill the promises that were made by Congress, and by the White House, that bailing out these businesses that were 'too big to fail,' " Palin said. "That did not put our economy back on the right track. So we learn from our mistakes. The tea party movement, beautiful. It energizes our country. More power to these people who are showing up there."
Palin tells ABC that running for president in 2012 isn't on her radar screen -- a statement she made to Winfrey, too.

Obama is wee weeing himself as we speak
Palin running for president isn’t on the radar screen? Well, you never know.
She’s a force in the conservative movement and the Republican party, if she wants to be.
This is beautiful. She needs to tell 0bama and the Demonrats/media to quit projecting as well.
The Oprah interview was fine, but when Sarah goes after Obama for his POLICIES, that is when you are really gonna see the media get wee wee’d up
Palin tells ABC that running for president in 2012 isn’t on her radar screen”
No, it’s likely target-locked in her gun sights, and she ready to fire.
2010 is on the radar screen, not 2012
she’s right to focus on 2010
let’s all work to throw the bums out, or as many as we can
She won’t announce til 2010, first we gotta throw the bums out of Congress and the Senate, then she will announce. No reason to do it now. she is playing it real smart
I pray God it may be so.
She’s going to reserve judgment until after the 2010 elections. If the Republicans pick up a lot of seats and the economy is still on the edge, then I’m sure she’ll make a decision then.
“I talked to her yesterday, I've got the book, I have it right over there and I've had a chance, I just got it a couple days ago, three days ago, and I've had a chance to go through it, and I made a prediction to her when I talked to her yesterday. I said, “You've got enough in here that people who get hold of this, like the AP or any of the State-Controlled Media, they're gonna focus on the soap opera aspects of your book, and they're going to ignore what is truly one of the most substantive policy books I've read.”
How about a Palin/Bachmann ticket since the GOP men are a bunch of women anyway?
Absolutely, I 100 percent agree with you. First we have to win back the house and senate to stop the crap Obama is trying to ram down our throats, after that, then we can worry about 2012..
Also, I didn’t know whether to post this here but oh well I am gonna do it. For anyone in Montana, this was just posted
Sarah Palin is coming to Billings on Tuesday, Dec. 8.
Palin will be at Border’s Books in Billings to promote her new book “Going Rouge.”
The former Alaska Governor, who was guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show Monday, will be signing copies of her book at Borders starting at noon.
Although “Going Rouge” won’t officially hit the shelves until Tuesday, it’s already been named a best-seller.
Even though Palin and her running-mate Senator John McCain didn’t travel to the Treasure State during the presidential campaign, they were the top ticket in Yellowstone County winning 52 percent of the vote.
Thanks for the info - now tell some of the Freepers on here that I’ve been a big Palin supporter for a long time ! I criticized her book a bit and got the long knives who were calling me everything from a RINO to a Romney-bot LOL !!
Yeah I got your email. No worries, everyone has a right to their opinion. No reason for people to throw knives. We all want the same thing..Obama’s ass OUT of the White House, and he can take Barney’s Frank, Pelosi, and reid with him
Unfortunately, if you don’t agree with everything that someone does, you are somehow considered an idiot. We can do better than that on this site. Obviously, I’m a big fan of Sarah, but we are not going to think everything she does is golden.
Yeah, most of the Republican women have more balls than the men. (At least the Republican men in Washington)
This interview sounds as if it might be a bit more meaty compared to Oprah’s interview. O’Reilly said tonight he is going to press Sarah on policy rather than the personal stuff. That should be interesting.
“She wont announce til 2010, first we gotta throw the bums out of Congress and the Senate, then she will announce. No reason to do it now. she is playing it real smart.”
I agree. After the damage is done on the Democrats in Nov. 2010 she will sit back, talk to her husband and family, formulate a plan over the Christmas break and announce her intentions to run for POTUS in mid to late January 2011. Then it’s time to raise some more cash, have some early debates over the summer, tour the country and get ready for Iowa in early 2012. This is my prediction. By then, BO will be in the 30s in job approval and even more ripe for the picking.
“How about a Palin/Bachmann ticket since the GOP men are a bunch of women anyway?”
I would support that! YES!! Maybe, just maybe the GOP would have a shot at winning Minnesota.
Well it seems obvious to me that she wouldn't be smart to say she's running for President now. She will create a network of support via endorsements/appearances for various congressional candidates in the coming primary/election season and show both her personal moxie, strategic ability, knack for calling them as she sees fit and then go from there in 2011.

Rouge?!! Geeeeez! I have a copy of that book ordered, and I thought the title was “Going Rogue.” If it actually is “Going Rouge” it is probably about lipstic and eye shadow and all kinds of make-up and other chick stuff. Can I get my money back? I have no interest in rouge.
BOR will have to stop pressing his lips to odumbos butt first
WOW, whoever wrote it must have written it wrong. I just copied and pasted it. Anyways, she will be in Billings, MT
Palin/Liz Cheney would be nice, or even Palin/Jindal
Please don’t use the word “rouge,” Going Rouge is the title of another book out by Lib nut Vander Hueval
That ticket works for me!
Now we know the real reason Oprah had Palin on her show... to give Obama an opportunity to defend himself against whatever Palin said against him.
I know I know..I copied and pasted it from another site, without realizing the mistake.
S’cool. It’s just, you’d be amazed how many people don’t know the difference between rogue and rouge. I suspect some people may wind up ordering that ridiculous hit book on accident.
OK EVERYONE!!
My apologizes for the spelling mistake about Sarah’s book signing in Billings, MT. I had copied it and pasted it from another site(TeamSarah) without realizing the spelling error. So again, my apologies. But for people living in Montana what a great opportunity you all have to meet her
I know, I should have noticed it, but I just glanced over it, copied it and pasted it. I should have realized the error
You said that already. :)
>>Palin tells ABC that running for president in 2012 isn’t on her radar screen
Neither are B-2 bombers until your world explodes around you!
I know, but some will not read it and bypass it and I will starting a zillion messages about how its ROGUE..so mind as well clear it all up now
I like such a ticket because it includes a proven executive and an experienced tax lawyer and legislator. The estrogen is not a factor as much as the experience, achievements, and the viewpoint of the ladies. It's just a bonus.
She appears to be getting good advice on how best to position herself for a run starting in 2010.
“Thanks for the info - now tell some of the Freepers on here that Ive been a big Palin supporter for a long time ! I criticized her book a bit and got the long knives who were calling me everything from a RINO to a Romney-bot LOL !!”
Ahem. You SLAMMED Sarah and her book and you got criticized because of it.
I figured it wasn’t your mistake. Could be deliberate on the part of the original writer... trying to trick people out into grabbing the Nation’s counterfeit copy.
“Palin tells ABC that running for president in 2012 isn’t on her radar screen “
Politicians never say definitely do they....a little coy....we all know she’s running.
It seems I have a follower here lol....I did not slam her book. I said it appears that her book is short on policy. As I said before, if it is a rehash of the campaign and light on policy, then it will be a disappointment, IMHO. If you want to read her autobiography, go right ahead. I’m more interested in her politicial aspirations. Did you see to Mary Katherine Ham tonight on O’Reilly? She said virtually the same thing. She said Sarah needs to move ahead by running for the House or Senate or become engaged in some large charity organization where she can be high profile in politics.\
I’m curious - did you decide if I’m a Romney-bot or RINO or Obama follower? Which is it? Lmao
There’s also the matter of picking up ‘markers’ during the ‘10 campaign. Those candidates who want her support will ‘owe’ her should she choose to run in the GOP primaries in ‘12. And, she may decide that ‘12 isn’t right for her but ‘16 is. She’s a very young woman.
“How about a Palin/Bachmann ticket since the GOP men are a bunch of women anyway?”
+ 1
One step (book) at a time. You want her to lay out every policy position from the get go? Please. The next year after the mid-term elections when many candidates that Palin supported/endorsed win then you will see another book laying out her basic conservative principles followed by a third book stating her specific policy positions/goals after she wins the primaries in 2012.
Again you don't provide a picture-perfect blueprint for the opposition to jump on before you're even officially back in the game. That's just basic political commonsense. This book is best suited to covering her upbringing, mayor of Wasilla, governor of Alaska and VP nominee experiences.

Will 'Rogue' tactics work? Unapologetic look at '08 race proves Palin's still a national contender
Could it be because she was asked questions pertaining to politics?
