For if we are at war, why is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed headed for trial in federal court in the Southern District of New York? Why is he entitled to a presumption of innocence and all of the constitutional protections of a U.S. citizen?
Is it possible we have done an injustice to this man by keeping him locked up all these years without trial? For that is what this trial implies that he may not be guilty.

It is to bad Buchanan has become Chris Mathews side kick. There are issues I do not agree with Buchanan but he does say make a lot of excellent points in this article.
I think much will be made at where this stands before the 2012 election should this actually be moved to NY, which I so disagree, because many will remind voter's that KSM had confessed, punishment was about to be imposed and this administration took it from capable military lawyers and now is starting ALL OVER AGAIN.
America is two nations in one. One of them is serious. The other, not so much.
“For if we are at war, why is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed headed for trial in federal court in the Southern District of New York?”
Because the country is headed by the dunce, 0bama, instead of Sarah Palin. :-/
America is not a very serious nation considering that they have an unidentified and possible foreigner (and Muslim) as head of state and no one in government seems to care.
Having the trial of KS Mohammed in NY is not a very smart move. Think of the vulnerability of the members of the jury putting the lives of their family in jeopardy.
I will say, the Pentagon was hit, why not have it in the Nation's capital? I mean if this is as all those on Obama’s side say to show the world our amazing justice system then why the hell not have it in our nations capital? Or perhaps near the field in PA?
Oh this isn't about justice and I firmly believe it.

One of his Muslim brothers will get on the jury and it will be a hung jury.
It very well could be that the trial will turn into a indite Bush for torture and false inprisionment.
Look at the polls, I think folks will jump out of their skin, it will be enough time to say ... Bush fatigue is over and Obama grab for everything is in the horizon and I think that will just tick folks off.
I listen to my husband who has been part of apprehending some really tough folks, and to the extent that he can tell me the idea that the left and the ACLU wants to play politics with the CIA and US Military when it comes to our countries security just pisses off those who serve this country. They put their lives on the line to capture these guys and their single goal to gather as much intelligence to keep us safe and if it is a bit painful -— lets just say until Obama took hold of this country not one incident took place on US soil nor were arrests made ... although there I might need to research.
