Folks, Post here if you are going, know someone who is going, have reports on the size of the crowds, or interaction with Gov. Palin. WWJ Radio Detroit this morning @ 5:00am noted people were already getting their wrist bands that early for the book signing in the evening.
Don’t forget (check out Conservatives4Palin.com) to NETWORK while waiting in line. Emails, facebook, etc of other Sarah fans cause when Sarah runs for President, we’re going to need that framework of supporters.
I listened to a radio report this morning here in Green Bay down play the excitement around the book. Predictable....
They found some obscure small book store somewhere in the area (no idea where it was and I have never heard of the store before)and the reporter gleefully indicated it was “just another day at the store.” The Pallin books “sat on the shelf and at the end of the day not a single book sold.”
The male reporter’s conclusion; “Green Bay residents are bucking the trend and choosing not to buy her book.”
Whatever... I actually wondered just how many customers that particular book store owner sees in a given day....
I’d like to know how the local Barnes & Noble did.

LOL!!! I laugh more at the news folks who seem surprised she’s this popular.
I heard Mike Huckabee on the radio this morning saying that he was in Grand Rapids as part of his book tour (although perhaps it was a rebroadcast from yesterday). Are both Sarah Palin and Huckabee signing books in Grand Rapids on the same day? If so, bad planning by Huckabee.
One more example of Huck riding the coat tails of someone else. He’ll be lucky to draw 100 people.

My Alaska granddaughters attend college in GR, hoping they get to see Sarah.
“Of course, she just couldn’t help herself and suggested that since Huckabee was in Michigan yesterday he somehow warmed up the crowd for Sarah.”
All 50 of those who lined up to see him, also are in line to see Palin.
I work about 10 minutes away from the mall so I went there at lunch to see if I could still get a wristband. You need a wristband to get a guaranteed signature and then you could leave and come back and get into "the line".
Unfortunately all of the wristbands are gone as of 11 AM. The person I talked to at Barnes and Noble didn't know how many they gave out but they gave them out non-stop for 4 hours.
Already as of 12:15 PM (the signing doesn't start until 6 PM) there were 300 or so in the "wristband" line...those lucky ones that had a wristband. This was the good line....it's inside and snakes through the inside of the mall.
There was also a line outside that you COULD get into if you don't have a wristband. IF Sarah gets through all the wristband people before 9 PM they'll let the non-wristband crowd come in. I'm not sure how many were in that line but it's kind of cold out. I MIGHT go into that line after work. At the very least I'm going to swing by there again and see what it looks like.
It was already kind of an event. The media are getting all setup and it's going to be quite the event when she finally shows up.
