Good catch! Send it to Glenn perhaps he would spend some time talking this up! There are many ‘out there’ who aren’t aware - and it may help in future ‘town hall meetings, TP rally’s, etc.

I’ve complained numerous times to the web master at Fox News that Googleadservices has a 10 second delay whenever one of their top stories is accessed. According to my computer logs Googleadservices always has this delay on their site. Now whether it’s deliberate or not, I can’t say. BTW-I use Firefox but I notice it never happens when I’m using Google’s proprietary web browser Google Chrome.

When I logged onto the net using Verizon one of the headlines at the Verizon home page was ‘ Hundreds ‘ rather than thousands.

That raised an eyebrow as I would have though thousands would show up. But, what do I know, I was not there and do not know anyone who was.

Google gets on my last nerve. They arbitrarily restrict sites THEY don’t like and redirect your browser to stupid searches that have one or more of the site’s words in them. I have to grrr, and it ticks me off no end.
But they will let you access all the jihadi freakin’ sites in the world.

10,000!! Came to see Sarah on Wednesday at the B&N Bookstore signing?!? WHOA!

Now I’m thinking that by the time Sarah comes to Texas, if her booksigning ‘rallies’ increase with each appearance like the Tea Party Express did, there’s going to be a HUGH crowd here!! Yikes! I hope my 9 y/o and I will still have a chance to meet Sarah in person, we’ll both be really disappointed if not! (Not that I begrudge her HUGH crowds—I hope everywhere she goes they sell out her book and have to put orders on back order! :-)

Google “Thousands cheer Palin” in quotes and see if “Hundreds cheers Palin” comes up 2nd as the headline from Yahoo News..

http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=%22thousands+cheer+palin%22&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=a50ffc77dda4c0bc

Whilst “Hundreds cheer Palin” shows zero hits on “Thousands..”.

A local news report video had a quick note at the bottom of the screen that said 'hundreds line up for books' (there were only a certain amount available, I think 1000, would it hurt the headliners to say "1000 LINE UP FOR BOOKS"?!?!), but "thousands" lined up for a glimpse of the governor--apparently she also addressed that crowd as well...this website tracked Sarah's day almost hour by hour...be sure to check out the losers protesting her, wanna bet they belong to the SEIU or ACORN? LOLOL. :-)

Thank you for injecting some common sense and calm into the usual outrage and hysteria over these claims before all the facts are known.

Just as I don’t go to MSNBC for my News, I don’t go to Google for my web brousing. BING.com is my choice

BING is MSN isn't it?

I use Goodsearch. For each hit, Google dontates a penny to the charity of your choosing I have mine set to the Coalition to Salute American Heroes. I take small pleasure in forcing Google to support the troops, even in the tiniest bit.

Of course Google changes things. Consider who they support and who has been tapped by the administration to clamp down on our on-line first amendment rights.

“Thousands cheer Palin in Mich. for book tour”.Essentially the same AP article is hosted at google news with the headline “Hundreds cheer Palin in Mich. for book tour”.
++++++++++++++++++

Just like “thousands” (or was it a million+? oh, who cares, right?) came out to protest the government on 9/12.

Google were huge contributors to Obama’s campaign

I assume you're talking about Google execs or employees? Because federal election laws prohibit campaign contributions from corporations.

"Greeted by a throng of admirers and a few dozen protesters, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stopped in Ann Arbor Thursday night to hawk her new book.

Pelosi spoke of growing up with her father, a former Maryland congressman and Baltimore mayor. Growing up with constant campaigning, she decided long ago she wanted to live a normal life, she told the audience of some 200."

I noticed that the copy of the articles is different, even though both articles are attributed to the same reporter. So perhaps she submitted different versions of the same article to different outlets.
This one is particularly interesting, though, both because the 'hundreds' title clearly conflicts with the copy in the article that states, "A line of more than a thousand people...",
I noticed that line, too, and it is one of the things that was different between the two versions of the article. In the first article, the copy said "thousands of people" while in the second article it says "A line of more than a thousand". My guess is that the reporter got a crowd estimate between the first and second article that put the size of the crowd more than one thousand but less than two thousand (for example let's say 1900). Such a figure is more than a thousand, but to describe that figure as "thousands" is not really accurate, because for you to have "thousands" you would really have to have at least two thousand. Given that, perhaps the reporter was just updating the initial article with a more accurate description.

Worth a repeat just in case some miss it:

because the 'hundreds' title clearly conflicts with the copy in the article that states, "A line of more than a thousand people..."

If the crowd estimate comes in at a number "more than a thousand" but less than two thousand (for example 1900), then which word is more accurate: "hundreds" or "thousands"? There are plenty of examples of blatant media bias, but I think it is possible that in this case a reporter is just providing an updated version of an article that replaced "thousands" with "more than a thousand" to be more linguistically accurate.
