Well, she is now lighting up heaven and safe in Jesus’ arms and that’s not just a wish...it is a certainty, And it’s the only thing that brings peace.
But it does not take care of justice.
THAT is where our state, our country, is so lost.
No wonder these devoids keep doing these heinous crimes - against children. Because they do not see anything major happening to other lowlifes.....

It can’t be easy living with the fact that he sent her into that den of evil. But, that innocent child is the one who went there and suffered far more than he is suffering now.
There is NO WAY that little one should have been put at such risk to be left with a woman with the history of that woman. There was nothing forcing him to expose her to that risk. Why in the world he would do that, and why anyone else who loved that child would allow it to happen without a fight is beyond me.

He claims he sent the child there because the “mother” had said she was “stable” in her life = had a job for six months.
‘and that he thought the child should have her “mother” in her life.
Shaniya was being raised by the father and his sister.
Why none of the man’s relatives insisted Shaniya stay where she was is beyond me too - except to learn he had 5 children....(by 3 different women)....so....
Also DSS had been called to that “mother’s” trailer in the past and the report earlier tonight was that it was a trash dump.
So he turned this child over to be in the company of a drughead who lived in a trash dump....
HE is culpable as far as I am concerned in all this - so I get sick when I see him going around the tv news programs.
Are all the other children living with him too?
Shaniya was the product of ‘a one night stand’. It’s interesting that he had her with him in the first place.
What is his relationship with the mothers of the other children, I wonder? (Are you saying 3 women other than the one who gave birth to Shaniya, or is she included among the 3?) If they are promiscuous relationships too, seems he needs to change his lifestyle or have himself “fixed”!

but no.....they insist on living like animals and dragging their offspring with them.....
if the adoption rules would loosen up and let people of ordinary means of any color adopt easier, so many of these kids could be offered good, stable homes....

Don’t know where this father’s other 4 children are...and I believe the 3 “mothers” of his children does include the one pictured on this thread because Shaniya was included in his 5 children.

Yes - DSS had visited this woman’s “home”......we have yet to find out about that visit and why they did not intervene at that time (since we’ve learned the “home” was a garbage dump according to the woman who owned the trailer who claimed she had not been paid rent and was getting ready to evict Shaniya and her “mother”.
Of course the government doesn’t do anything well - but we do pay taxes to support social workers who are supposed to intervene when necessary......failure here that’s for sure.

But IF McNeil is convicted and IF he ever is actually about to be executed....there will be the usual candlelight vigil outside of Central prison which will be broadcast by WRAL news....as has been done so many times in the past.
But that was when NC had a death penalty that was in fact in operation.
