A police officer in a small US town used a stun gun on an unruly 10-year-old girl after he said her mother gave him permission to do so.
Now the towns mayor is calling for an investigation into whether the Taser use was appropriate.
Officer Dustin Bradshaw said in a report that police were called to the home in Ozark, Arkansas on November 11 because of a domestic disturbance.
When he arrived, the girl was curled up on the floor, screaming, the report said.
Mr Bradshaws report said the girl screamed, kicked and resisted any time her mother tried to get her in the shower before bed. Her mother told me to tase her if I needed to, he wrote.

Some kids just need a good tasin'.

I’ve seen a few instances of “free children” in Walmart...Small cages would not have sufficed.
That behavior did not start at 10. Great example of liberal upbringing. Tasering can’t reprogram 10 years of a child being able to act that way. Sounds like lot of counseling would benefit all.
It also sounds a lot like this call:

I can’t understand the police responding to a call about a 10yo having a tantrum. And then tasering her.
What a pitiful, pathetic, inadequate mother who can’t control a ten year old...
Although today’s modern atmosphere can’t help. Try slapping your child in public and some do-gooder will report you to the police for child abuse....
If I were to kick a cop where the sun don't shine, and forcefully resist arrest I think I'd have been tased and locked up in a jail cell waiting to face trial and a few years in prison.
The cop didn't treat her like an animal, he treated her like someone resisting a police officer, that also happened to physically assault him. 10 year olds shouldn't be kicking cops where the sun don't shine.
Oh brother! I can certainly understand tasering a ten year old. I have been around some that simply shrug off all normal forms of discipline and appear to be demon possessed.
Even my beloved wife’s children have at times tempted me to start pricing OC spray, beanbag rounds and tasers. When the now 13 year old girl was ten, she could shriek in a register that set dogs to howling in a 5 block radius. When the now eighteen year old boy was 13 he considered it acceptable behaviour to strike me (6’4” 290 lb biker) with his fist when his will was defied. I managed to get through these challenges without resorting to tasing, but had I had one at hand I would have been very tempted at times.
The girl also kicked the police officer in the gonads. That and her mother’s permission work for me.
“My daughter does not deserve to be tased and be treated like an animal, said Mr Medlock, who is divorced from the girls mother and does not have custody. “
Perhaps, Mr. Medlock, if your daughter weren’t behaving LIKE AN ANIMAL, she wouldn’t have been tased! Also, if you had provided some necessary discipline (heat to the seat of learning) when she was a toddler acting this way, she wouldn’t have found herself in this situation. Stupid people shouldn’t breed!
(ZAP!)
Since the girl was in her own home and was not a threat to the public - nor apparently to anyone who wasn’t trying to get her to take a shower - why didn’t the officer tell the mother, “Sorry, hon, this isn’t a police matter. Have you tried a bucket of ice water? I’m outta here!”
I think this would qualify in court as a change in circumstance and Dad could get custody.
Well considering that the father didn’t have custody, probably thanks to family court, I blame the mother almost solely.

I'm surprised at the number of posters that believe it's appropriate to taze a child.
Just because someone is underage does not mean they cannot be a monster. Think: Jeffery Dahlmer as but one example...
Think of the tortured animals at the very least as a result of insufficient correctional actions.
So if the mom said “taz” my kid and the cop obliged, that’s a sign of intellegence?
Crom!
