Martha Stewart Says Sarah Palin Is 'A Dangerous Person' By Noel Sheppard Created 2009-11-21 18:50
Martha Stewart on Friday said former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is "a dangerous person," and "anyone like that in government is a real problem."
Speaking with HLN's "Showbiz Tonight" producer Jenny D'Attoma, Stewart also said Palin is "very boring" and "confused."
Ironically, when asked if she has seen any of Palin's recent interviews, Stewart replied without recognizing the hypocrisy, "I wouldn't watch her if you paid me" (video embedded below the fold with transcript, h/t Mediaite ):
HLN 'SHOWBIZ TONIGHT' PRODUCER JENNY D'ATTOMA: Now, on to Sarah Palin, why do you think she's so polarizing to so many people?
MARTHA STEWART: She's a very boring to me. Very boring, and a very, to me, kind of a, a dangerous person. I mean, to, she's dangerous.
D'ATTOMA: In what way?
STEWART: She speaks, she's, she's so confused. And anyone like that in government is a real problem.
D'ATTOMA: Meanwhile, they're saying her book is already a bestseller. Do you find it...
STEWART: Good for her. Good for her.
D'ATTOMA: Have you been able to catch Sarah Palin's interviews?
STEWART: Why's everybody asking that? I wouldn't, I wouldn't watch her if you paid me.
Well, Martha: how do you know Palin's boring, confused, and dangerous if you don't watch her?
Typical of liberal elites, isn't it?
Maybe more interesting was how the folks on "Showbiz Tonight" actually defended Palin and bashed Stewart:
I love it.
Hyla from 5DollarPrep.com said: "If Sarah Palin ever got a talk show, she would whoop Martha Stewart's a**!...Hollywood's never gonna accept Sarah Palin, but you know what? In middle America, the rest of the country, they love her, and she could rival Oprah on the talk show circuit. I have no doubt about that."
Contributing Editor of Life & Style Weekly Rachel Zalis said: "I think [Palin] would say, Martha, that's pretty funny. The woman who thinks cake stands and sconces are fascinating is calling me boring.' I mean, really, Sarah Palin is probably the most famous woman in the world this week, and, you know, I think Martha's not too keen on that."
Hyla responded: "And I love the whole dangerous thing because on paper, who's been to prison? Who's more dangerous exactly?"
Exit question: Is folks on "Showbiz Tonight" defending Palin an indication that the worm might be turning for her?
Sub hag. Convicted hag.
I ignore the opinions of felons...
She should stick to picking out drapes for fags.
Sarah Palin isn’t a convicted felon.
So it is not a “Good Thing”?
Well Martha “Its a good thing”.
The felon speaks...
But Chuck Colson is.
Oh yea listen to martha the felon
Dem-backing ex-con hates Sarah? Shocka!
Barack Hussein Obama.. now that is a dangerous person.
Martha Stewart is trying to make friends with the media again
Says it all.
Martha Stewart is a released felon.
dangerous persons can be found in prisons
Hey Martha - got any stock tips?
And you, Martha, are ignorant.
The Martha beech is jealous..that’s what it is. Same thing with Andrea Mitchell, See BS news. That ‘ridiculous hick underling’ Sarah Palin is upstaging these jealous, ego-driven wenches of the left. Their star is setting but Palin’s is like the rising sun and these leftist, high profile witches of the media are melting! ‘What a world, what a world’.....
Sarah hasn’t served time for lying to the FBI. Stewart has.
Why should we listen to Martha “Ex-Con” Stewart?
...and they know it. It is why they hate and attack her so.
"We face challenging times with some hell-bent on tearing down our nation by perpetuating pessimism and apologizing for America. They suggest that our best days were yesterdays. But how can this pessimism exist? Proof of our greatness and pride is all around us today. We produce proud and great volunteers who sacrifice everything for their country.
"We can resist enslavement to big central government that crushes hope and opportunity. We must be wary of government largesse. It doesnt come free and often accepting it takes away everything that is free. Melting into Washingtons powerful and caretaking arms will only lead to suck away the incentive to work hard and chart our own course. This will only contribute to an unstable economy and dizzying national debt, and it will make us less free.
"See, in order to be self-sufficient (we) must be allowed to develop, to drill and build and climb to fulfill our promise! We can not start believing that government is the answer. It cant make you happy or healthy or wealthy or wise. What can? It is the wisdom of the people and our families and our small businesses and industrious individuals. And it is Gods grace helping those who help themselves." - Sarah Palin, July 26, 2009
I think Martha Stewart is one of those disenchanted-but-too-proud-to-admit-it feminists who thought that by following the promises of: never marrying + become a billionaire automatically equalled = will be happy.
Obviously that is not the case for her life and I think she resents Palin for that reason.
LOL. I haven't actually watched or heard her speak, but I know she is confused, says the convicted felon.
Which one of these women is the felon who did time?
I love that they hate Her. Terrified of Her like Superman was of kryptonite.
What are they so afraid of ?
They are in love with a guy with no past, a 5 minute career.
Who the hell is MS? a nobody, a decorator at most... and for the LEFT? :)
Why we love Sarah
Prison life has not been good to Martha Stewart. Washed up hag
She must have drank the koolaid in prison. What an idiot.
What a bitch. Hey Martha, you’ve been in jail, Sarah hasn’t. You have a criminal record, Sarah doesn’t.
Get off your high horse, woman, and get back into the kitchen where you belong.
LOL. That reminds me of an old Yogi Berra quote about a New York restaurant: "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too busy".
Big difference between Chuck and Martha. Chuck learned from his time in prison, and is a better man for it. He now counsels others who are incarcerated.
As for Martha, what has her time in jail done for her? Obviously, she's no smarter.
Martha Stewart is a thief and a convict...enuff said!
My sister met her while she worked for a high dollar woodworking business on Long Island and Martha was having a lookaround.
She was every bit the elitist she seems to be. When my sis greeted the car, she was promptly handed the leashes to Marthas dogs.
“Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being
assembled to meet him ... Let no one deceive you in any way; for that
day will not come, unless the rebellion [in the original greek:
apostasy - ‘great falling away’] comes first, and the lawless [one] is revealed, the son of perdition...” 2 Thess 2:1,3
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and
doctrines of devils...” 1 Timothy 4:1
but I know she is confused, says the convicted felon.
Right, who’s the confused idiotic hypocrite?
Convicted felon calls principled conservative “dangerous”....
So says the convicted felon...
Martha is an idiot. She’s not all mentally there. How an airhead can get so rich is amazing.
Who cares what an ex con with a felony conviction says about anything.
Isn’t she a convicted felon?
Hey criminal, you can’t say she’s dangerous AND boring, you’re full of it.
Palin to lose the felon vote.
When Chuck Colson came out of prison with his newfound wisdom, I confess I was sceptical, but he has walked the walk these many years and I respect the man. His heart truly was changed.
Sounds like she’s been reading koolaid emails.
When Sarah was running for VP, I got a mass email from a gay family member, with the title on how Sarah was so “dangerous”.
How is she dangerous? Will she force you to use her light bulbs, drive her car, buy her health insurance?
Oops. Wrong party.
Martha seems to be going off the deep end lately, especially when it come to attractive women. First her very inappropriate attack on Rachel Rae and now this. Very unseemly and very sad.
