The five men facing trial in the Sept. 11 attacks will plead not guilty so that they can air their criticisms of U.S. foreign policy, the lawyer for one of the defendants said Sunday.

The five men facing trial in the Sept. 11 attacks will plead not guilty so that they can air their criticisms of U.S. foreign policy, the lawyer for one of the defendants said Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009.

Scott Fenstermaker, the lawyer for accused terrorist Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali, said the men would not deny their role in the 2001 attacks but "would explain what happened and why they did it."

The U.S. Justice Department announced earlier this month that Ali and four other men accused of murdering nearly 3,000 people in the deadliest terrorist attack in the U.S. will face a civilian federal trial just blocks from the site of the destroyed World Trade Center.

Ali, also known as Ammar al-Baluchi, is a nephew of professed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

Mohammed, Ali and the others will explain "their assessment of American foreign policy," Fenstermaker said.

"Their assessment is negative," he said.

AH HA, as predicted. Its all about a soap box. TV News ratings will go up too. We the people have no control over the mater, they will run the show as they please. This administration is creating all the problems. Our leader is indecisive, in way above his pay scale, and we’ve all been bamboozled! Its not a case of rights, these SOB’s should have been brought in dead, not alive. (the terrorists, not our elected officials.)

There are five or six ways the 9/11 terrorists can use the legal system to be “guilty as hell, free as a bird”.

1. Ask for change of venue. Can New York City jurors be unbiased?
2. Miranda rights not read.
3. Adverse publicity - all over the U.S. - change of venue not enough.
4. Confessions not admissible as due process not observed (alleged torture, etc.)
5. Soapbox for speeches - but does anyone in U.S. listen to mad bomber speeches? Besides potential future terrorists, of course.
6. If convicted, appeals for next thirty years. Retrial or outright release near certain, as BHO names more judges.

We are looking at the faces of five individuals who saw to the murder over a period of about two hours of nearly 3000 humans beings...

The actions of Obama and Holder in this are worse than obscene, worse than treasonous...

The radical Islamic reaction to this “trial”—more accurately a worldwide stage setting for Islamic terrorists—will be, “See! See! See! Allah is with us! The martyrs are receiving their glory....”

Obama and Holder could not possibly love America and have initiated this.

The so-called "problem" (a false and erroneous concept that the Muslims have) started way back at the Balfour Declaration by England in 1917 and then continued on through the League of Nations and then culiminated in the recognition of the newly declared land of Israel (as a sovereign state in the world) by Harry S. Truman on May 14, 1948.

At midnight on May 14, 1948, the Provisional Government of Israel proclaimed the new State of Israel. On that same date the United States, in the person of President Truman, recognized the provisional Jewish government as de facto authority of the new Jewish state (de jure recognition was extended on January 31). The U.S. delegates to the U.N. and top ranking State Department officials were angered that Truman released his recognition statement to the press without notifying them first. On May 15, 1948, the Arab states issued their response statement and Arab armies invaded Israel and the first Arab-Israeli war began.

So, they've got a lot of history to cover with the U.S. and what its policies have been, as they cover decades upon decades..., and all administrations, Republican or Democrat...

The declaration was made in a letter from Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Baron Rothschild (Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild), a leader of the British Jewish community, for transmission to the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland, a Zionist organization. The letter reflected the position of the British Cabinet, as agreed upon in a meeting on 31 October 1917. Just wondering, too, if 0bama’s announcement that these POS muzzies would be tried, convicted, and executed according to the laws of the US isn’t, perhaps, prejudicial? It seems to me if the Pres__ent of the US doesn’t appear to be impartial in these cases, the defendants likely have an issue with being able to get a fair trial ANYWHERE in the US.

Could this be the case? Might this be a way to get these POW’s tried in some other, foreign venue?

Just wonderin’...

I have been depressed about the political situation since the elections, but that has changed. I’m mad now.

Where is the patriot who will stand on the floor of the senate and demand Holder be removed from office? Democrat or Republican, I don’t care who does it, is there not one patriot left in office?

This can not be allowed to stand. Whatever we have to do to remove Holder from office, we need to do it. This can not be allowed to stand. Holder is not worthy of the office he holds; he needs desperately to be returned to private practice. He can go back to doing pro bono for Al Qaeda, and the FALN, and maybe paid work for mobsters like Rich.

I thing this will be Obama’s undoing, people are not going to accept this. They will chase him from office. He may eventually kick this over to the International Court in Europe, which would actually be worse. Either way, this is guaranteed to be a mess, and that is not an accident; it is by design.

I also believe that folks living in the area of whatever prison they are housed in will be terrorized.

Actually it takes a law degree to commit non-sensical behaviors. Such as declaring a positive output of a trial before it begin, and yet arguing that the trial will be fair.

Ashcroft and others have made the point Holder doesn’t have the power to yank jurisdiction away from the military. Only the Commander in Chief can do that.
