The scientific community is buzzing over thousands of emails and documents -- posted on the Internet last week after being hacked from a prominent climate-change research center -- that some say raise ethical questions about a group of scientists who contend humans are responsible for global warming.
The correspondence between dozens of climate-change researchers, including many in the U.S., illustrates bitter feelings among those who believe human activities cause global warming toward rivals who argue that the link between humans and climate change remains uncertain.
Some emails also refer to efforts by scientists who believe man is causing global warming to exclude contrary views from important scientific publications.
"This is horrible," said Pat Michaels, a climate scientist at the Cato Institute in Washington who is mentioned negatively in the emails. "This is what everyone feared. Over the years, it has become increasingly difficult for anyone who does not view global warming as an end-of-the-world issue to publish papers. I guess this is what we all figured was happening all along.
Aren’t these “scientists” the same ones that always whine about censorship? The next step is to put their pictures up all over the internet, with a heading calling them liars, charlatans, and manipulators.

Great idea. Humiliation is something the left uses quite well... no problem with me using the same tactics.
It’s interesting how both this and the WaPo article talk about the efforts to exclude opposing opinions but have no mention of the suggestion that data be manipulated where it didn’t support the thesis.

laughable that CA would claim to have discovered the problem. They would have run off to the Wall Street Journal for an exclusive were that to have been true.

This is ridiculous! The only way most climate scientists agree with this is because they being paid off with government grants etc. to support this bogus conclusion. It is like agreeing with the perpetrator of a crime!
Globull warming, the hoax of the century and it is still a very young century.
