I have been wondering when the next major rally was going to be. Now I know. I can't wait to be there.

I agree, but we need to be attacking on all fronts right NOW! I was giving this some thought over the weekend and I hope this does not sound nuts, but here it is.

What if someone or some group ... maybe the tea party folks, started the Starve the Beast Program. Basically the program would be designed to inform and encourage all Americans who currently have too much Federal income tax withheld from their regualr paycheck.

Most could easily adjust their deductions on their W-4 forms to arrive at a zero sum game with the Fed Gov each April 15. There are probably tens of millions of folks who have too much withheld and get their so-called tax refund Fed Gov each year.

If several million people could reduced the withholding from their regualr paycheck and stopped giving the Fed Gov a non-interest loan, the Fed would be in a world of hurt real quick.

I can not think of a better short-term way to send the bastids a message.

he said something to the effect that the powers-that-be are no longer going to tolerate these marches.

Well if the powers that be figure they can just bypass the 1st Amendment, then maybe we can just bypass their bypass with the 2nd Amendment.

So he begins with the assumption that people are ignorant and need to learn from him? Pretty dang arrogant. He can kiss my backside.

Unless you know everything about everything (and nobody does) there is always room to learn something new. Its not being arrogant to try to help enlighten and organize. What are you doing to help? Go kiss your own backside.

And Beck's qualifications to educate anyone are what? His own high opinion of himself?

Go kiss your own backside.

And you continue to kiss Beck's.

Third parties ALWAYS lose.

The republican party was founded in 1854. The republican party itself was a third party at one time...of course maybe you're right, they are losers now. I will vote for candidates that represent me. If the republicans insist on selecting candidates who don't then they have no reason to expect my vote because I am clearly not the demographic they're targeting to represent.

And for the record, I'm stupefyingly tired of voting for someone because they're the lesser of two evils. If republicans choose to run evil candidates they can win without my vote. Simple enough?

when it comes to THE MALL, or any other area in DC., my copy of the Constitution does not exclude these areas from”the right to peacably assemble”.

In other words;

“WE DON’T NEED NO STEENKING PERMITS”

Usually he passes along information that is researched by his staff, brought to the forefront from "experts" in their field, or read in books.

So he is just the mouthpiece, the talking head.

A puppet.

I will do some digging, my understanding is that you are not correct. One may walk there, view the monuments with the family, sure, but I believe if you are organizing a large crowd, movement work, you have to obtain a permit from the Capitol police. There is something to security involved, if I'm not mistaken. But I am not a tea-party organizer, so I am only going on what I've heard over the years, if someone else has more accurate details, I am more than willing to be corrected.

I will reiterate that it was in discussing the meeting Glenn is organizing for next summer that the comment was made, and when he has taken calls from people who mention they are considering their own get-together in Washington next year, Glenn will ask (with the chuckle), "Have you gotten your permit yet?"

I wish every Republican would print that out, and read it out loud every morning.

After the Obama wreck it will take 100 years.

Its too late. Momentum will slam us into the debtors brick wall before his presidency is over.

Agreed he has done good work but Conservatives dont worship leaders talk show hosts but principles and we must not follow him off a cliff in believing a third party is the answer. Taking back the Republican party is the only answer to this assault on our freedoms.

“...have to start with the assumption that one’s audience was ignorant of the subject matter, no”

No, sorry - I don’t agree with you there.

Finding information and facts are these peoples’ professions - just like you and I are professional at what we do.

Expounding on what they believe and sharing information they have found does not automatically assume people are ignorant....take Rush for example - he’s bombastic (some would say arrogant) but he has educated millions of Americans - wouldn’t you agree?

He's certainly reached millions and entertained them.

I would not say he has educated them. Folks will tell you
that Limbaugh does NOT tell them what to think, but rather
gives a voice to what they believe. He basically plays to
his audience, telling them what they want to hear.

I would not characterize that as "education".
