The Wilding of Sarah Palin
The American Thinker ^ | November 24, 2009 | Robin of Berkeley

Posted on 11/24/2009 3:19:58 AM PST by Scanian

When I was in college, I read a book that changed my life. It was Susan Brownmiller's tome, Against Our Will: Men, Women, and Rape, which explained rape as an act of power, not just lust. What I found particularly chilling was the chapter on war -- how rape is used to terrorize a population and destroy the enemy's spirit.

While edifying, the book magnified the vulnerability I already felt as a female. Fear of rape became a constant dread, and I sought a solution that would help shield me from danger.

The answer: seek safe harbor within the Democratic Party. I even became an activist for feminist causes, including violence against women. Liberalism would protect me from the big bad conservatives who wished me harm.

> The answer: seek safe harbor within the Democratic Party.

The best way to prevent rape is to carry an effective, reliable, concealed, and readily available sidearm.

As for the DemonRAT party, rape is one of their specialties.

The DemonRAT party specializes in advancing totalitarian statism by passing laws against things that they practice in the open. They exempt themselves from their own laws by cliaming that their promotion of “social justice” excuses them from being held to any standard of conduct.

The poster boy for this groupthink is Ted Kennedy.

From the author:

It was Susan Brownmiller's tome, Against Our Will: Men, Women, and Rape, which explained rape as an act of power, not just lust.

Rape is a vile, wicked crime. It robs someone of humanity. Many feminists, since that book, have parroted the line that rape is about violence, not lust.

It is partly a crime of power and violence, but it is also primarily a crime of lust in most cases, and I have never understood why feminists refuse to recognize this.

Is prostitution then, a crime of lust, or power?

Get into that debate, and some feminists will twist themselves into pretzels.

I understand your point but it seems as though the rapes you read about in the news involve violence against the woman, including death. That is more than lust. That is a lot of hatred and a type of punishment directed toward women.

Finally, someone who has realized she doesn’t need to feel threatened by people with a moral compass. A sense of right and wrong has a protecting effect.

We can only hope that a lot more liberals (women) read what the author has to say and take a good look at what they’ve bought in to.

What finally woke me up were the utterances of bitch, witch, and monster toward Hillary Clinton and her supporters early last year.

They say a broken clock is right twice every twenty four hours. They also say even a blind hog finds an acorn every once in a while.

But the biggest shock of all has been realizing that the Democratic Party is hardly an oasis for women. Now that it has been infiltrated by the hard Left, it's a dangerous place for women, children, or other living things.

While I enjoy her support of Sarah Palin, this is the most erudite collection of words in this piece.

The author has had an awakening.

Perhaps she can further awaken to see that many of the causes she supports are detrimental to her well being as a person and as a woman.

The Left has declared war on Palin because she threatens their existence. Democrats need women dependent and scared so that women, like blacks, will vote for liberals.

Here's the money quote from this piece... I'm thinking of changing my tagline.

The writer totally gets it. The left’s sexualizing of Palin in order to take her down is disgusting. It is also outrageously hypocritical, but that’s the left for you. And of course they do a similar thing to blacks — Clarence Thomas for example — who are perceived to be disloyal to the liberal cause. When a member of a protected subgroup strays from the liberal plantation, the left hunts them down mercilessly.

There is one more factor. That is the jealousy that women have for each other. Not only do women have to recognize liberals using them but they also have to admit their competitive nature that exists between them. Sarah is in the spot light and it is killing all these celebratory women and their egos.

Actually, ordinary criminal rape may well be a crime of lust, but large-scale rape has always been used by enemies as a way to degrade and devastate another population. Look at the Japanese - the Rape of Nanking was literally that, with thousands of women and children raped and destroyed. And it has historically been so.

All cultures use rape to destroy the spirit of the enemy (that’s why men rape men before killing them in certain cultures). Eldridge Cleaver, in fact, wrote an entire screed about the “right” of blacks to rape white women as a way of taking revenge on white men.

This article is stuffed with insights that are absolutely right on track!

One observation that I liked, from personal experience, however, was this one:

Another red flag: while liberal men did indeed hold up those picket signs, they didn't do anything else to protect me. In fact, their social programs enabled bad behavior and bred chaos in urban America. And when I was accosted by thugs, those leftist men were missing in action.

That's why - well, one of the many reasons - that Obama is abandoning Afghan women to the Taliban again.

But Palin by default is beautiful so she must be trying to sell her looks by dressing up nicely. So the left will attack her for being hypocritcal.

They use this argument of Palin bringing out the kids. How dare she bring out her kids, forcing the left to attack her. It is Palin that is the bad mother, not us (the left) wingers who attack the kids

Obama was on the campaign trail and went up to a farm house a young boy asked him if he wanted to see his liberal puppies and obama complied. several days later Sara Palin came through and the boy asked her if she wanted to see his conservative puppies. a reporter that had been there for the earlier visit asked “Last week when Obama was here you said that they were liberal puppies, now they are conservative, why the change?” Sarah smiled and nodded as she replied “Dont’cha know this week they have their eyes open”

Firstly, you should read the whole article. She is describing how the Democrats are symbolically “raping” Sarah Palin. I fear using words symbolically robs them of their meaning (”cultural genocide”), but she’s describing exactly what is going on: liberals have actually *literally* described fantasies about “hate-f***ing” her.

Secondly, lust and power aren’t separate. Lust isn’t merely horniness, otherwise masturbation would relieve it. It’s about the need to matter. When affection is absent, power and domination enter the void: the fantasy that porn provides isn’t about loving relationships; it’s about domination.

>> Is prostitution then, a crime of lust, or power? <<

Look at Elizabeth Hurley. Look at Desiree Brown. Draw your own conclusions about Hugh Grant.

The reason feminists refuse to recognize rape as a crime of lust is so they can continue to parrot the idea that Christian sexual morality is a bad thing. If feminists really want to stop rape, they would encoaurage men who hold Christian values when it comes to sex, but instead they demonize them. It makes no sense.

Sandra Bernhard [liberal, lesbian] issues 'gang rape' warning to Sarah Palin

BY TRACY MILLER
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
September 19th 2008

Sandra Bernhard issued a blistering warning to Sarah Palin during a performance of her new one-woman show.

The Republican V.P. nom would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" if she enters Manhattan, Bernhard said. Palin is said to be making a campaign stop in New York next week.

"[The gang rape comment] is part of a much larger, nuanced, and yes, provocative (that's what I do) piece from my show about racism, freedom, women's rights and the extreme views of Governor Sarah Palin, a woman who doesn't believe that other women should have the right to choose," Bernhard told the Daily News today.

From NewsBusters.org, June 9, 2009...

Seven months after Election Day, and the attacks on Sarah Palin keep coming.

On Monday, CBS's David Letterman on the "Late Show" shamelessly went after the Alaska governor and her family during his opening monologue, as well as in his "Top Ten" list.

Top Ten Highlights Of Sarah Palin's Trip To New York

10. Visited New York landmarks she normally only sees from Alaska

9. Laughed at all the crazy-looking foreigners entering the U.N.

8. Made moose jerky on Rachael Ray

7. Keyed Tina Fey's car

6. After a wink and a nod, ended up with a kilo of crack

5. Made coat out of New York City rat pelts

4. Sat in for Kelly Ripa. Regis couldn't tell the difference.

3. Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson's always talking about

2. Bought makeup from Bloomingdale's to update her "slutty flight attendant" look

1. Especially enjoyed not appearing on Letterman
