This just shows how amateur this guy and his team is. Modern Chinese do not bow, unlike the Japanese. The appropriate greeting in Communist China is to shake hands. Perhaps to Obama, all Orientals look alike?

This is cover for his mistake. He has to bow to every foreign leader now so the WH can say, "see that's just his MO". Nothing subservient...that's just his manner.
He's going to look pretty stupid when he bows to Andrea Merkel or Stephen Harper.

All my coworkers have taken to bowing to each other in the office, and when our clients see it thay are cracking up. This is the kind of thing that gets under the skin of most people and our Dear Leader has fast become the laughingstock of his generation.
