Squirrel mother attacks dog trying to eat her baby
Daily Mail ^ | 24th November 2009 | Daily Mail

'They have a bit of a reputation for a vicious streak, but this dog certainly got more than it bargained for after pouncing on a baby squirrel it found on the ground. Moments before the hapless baby would have been torn apart, these images show its mother appearing to leap off a nearby tree and attacking the surprised dog.

Using its sharp teeth and claws, the squirrel tore into its canine opponent and distracted it so the baby could escape to freedom. It is unclear if the images have been edited, but the startled dog appears in considerable pain as the squirrel bites into its flank. The surprise assault gives the baby squirrel just enough time to climb back up the nearby tree before its mother is thrown clear and escapes from the dog. The baby squirrel appears to have fallen to the ground as it was being helped up the tree.'

A squirrel can indeed take a good chunk out of a dog. Maybe they ought to pass strict tooth control legislation over there. You know, before somebody gets hurt!

Adorable!

But I’ll bet that baby got the spanking of its life when it was safely back in the nest and Mom had a chance to draw breath. “I can believe it! Do you realize you could have gotten us both KILLED? That’s IT, young man! Go to your room! And I’m going to want the controller for every game console you have! NO XBox for a solid MONTH!”

if your ‘dog’ has a problem with a squirrel... you might want to return it to the pet store.

you bought a cat.

We have 2 squirrels here that have fought each other so often and so viciously that both of them have a nub caused by biting each other’s tails off piece by piece. Last winter both of them were a bloody mess but they both survived to fight again...

This should serve as a good analogy for what both Brits and Yanks should do to those threatening to kill our freedom and culture.

Heh heh heh.
I’m tempted to send him a plush Killer Bunny from the Troll and Toad website.
But.. I’d probably get ganked for that bit of evil.
