Just 39 percent of white Americans now approve of President Obama's job performance, a steep drop-off of support since he was inaugurated in January, according to the latest Gallup Poll.
In his first full week in office, starting Jan. 26, just over six in 10 white people gave him their approval. Now that number is down to under four in 10, indicating a net drop of 22 points.
Black voters, meanwhile, have continued to support Obama to the tune of approximately 90 percent. And Democrats and liberals give Obama approval ratings of above 80 percent.
"Though he maintains widespread loyalty among Democrats, the small loss in support he has seen from his fellow partisans seems to be exclusively from white Democrats," Gallup's finding says.
The most recent survey of 3,611 adults has a 2 percent margin of error.
In Milwaukee County, it is usually well above 110%.
In the big cities 110%
Well, DUH....
And yet, 80% of them always say "we didn't vote for him BECAUSE he was black".
I'm so tired of the denial of reality by the Lib's.
He’d face across-the-board flight if it weren’t for one specific group standing by him no matter what he does or says.
I shall say no more.
Black voters at 90%!? No racism there. Must be because of all he does for them! Or their inherent stupidity precipitated by 50 years of handouts and gov dependency.
If they were, would that be racist?--Oh, never mind!
vaudine
He’s lost the 65+ voters, too.
I’ve been saying for some time that when Obama is done the Dem Party is going to be the black party.
I liked the +1 he got from blacks!
that says all I need to know about blacks in America.
“0bama faces flight of intelligent people regardless of race.”
Damn right. Why the hell would a black person support Obama unless they’re a) a racist b) a socialist 3) both?
It often seems like to be "black" is to choose not to be successful in life. This is depressing and obviously counter-productive to the black community and to race relations in general.
I admit I don't get it and I've tried *very* hard to understand it. Still, I don't buy that my race is the barrier to my understanding. That in itself is a racist statement. People are people. It's what they voluntarily choose to believe that causes the problems.
Still waiting for word that the two blacks that signed up for their $250 from King Obama's stash got the check yet.
“It often seems like to be “black” is to choose not to be successful in life”.
...I think it’s about decades of brainwashing blacks into thinking they’re owed something for being black. The “Great Society” was put in place for just this reason. This mentality has been passed down from Grandma and would take two generations or more to remove, IF a good conservative congress and president were put into place AND they were able to supercede all the “bad” press. The press is now an enemy to all that is good. Even FOX.
One half of Obama is fleeing the other half?
“Its always whitey causing trouble! Damn crakas!!!!”
...or Honkey’s. Whatever your preference. Actually, I believe that TV shows like “Sanford & Son” and “All In The Family” helped tremendously in bringing about “reverse” discrimination and the election of our 2nd(to Clinton)black president. Along with myriad other TV shows and music.
“The most recent survey of 3,611 adults has a 2 percent margin of error.”
This was a poll of adults, not registered voters or likely voters, so that means the percentages would be even less if they had polled registered or likely voters.
He’s also losing black voters...90% is a decline. Obama took approx. 95 % of the black vote in the 08 election.
They always vote for the democrat anyway
Mainly it is Hollywood influencing the young voters
the heros are Black with Whitey either a boob or just along for the ride
And the young don’t know reality from the movies
