I had the same misperception. Though, unlike this idiot, I didn't see stateside soldiers in the mess with SAMS slung over their shoulders. I did have an image of officers with sidearms.

So after Ft. Hood I wondered about it, and came to FR and asked in a vanity post why nobody was armed. Then I was informed. Maybe if Keith did his show prep here, he wouldn't be quite so unformed. But with him, it isn't so much about simple ignorance (thought there's plenty of that). Olbermann is s terrorist sympathizer. He spent the entire Bush administration scoffing at every single terror bust, and sticking up for the poor little jihadists, that were:

-completely incompetent and really no threat at all
-simply misunderstood,
-victims of the dastardly bush propaganda machine

I can no longer stomach more of this guy than about 2 minutes a month. Did any brave person ever hear his moronic take on how something like Ft. Hood could happen in the new utopia, and how it was Bush's, Palin's and O'Reilly's fault?
