Dear President Obama,
My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time dont believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.
I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bosn Mate. Now I live in a rest home located on the western end of Pearl Harbor , allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.
One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.
So here goes.
I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.
I cant figure out what country you are the president of....

I saw this earlier when it first went viral yesterday. I put it up on many political forums as I could and the responses have been patriotic and respectful towards Mr. Estes. What someone needs to do is put it up on the Democratic Underground and watch their response.
Harold Estes says it as it is.
Thank you for posting this.
Well said! May God bless him and keep him safe.
One by one, one by one, The Greatest Generation is checking out. We are fortunate to still have Harold Estes with us today, and he has done yet another signal service to his Nation and to the cause of Freedom by telling his President where to get off.
Thankyou, Mr Estes. Well said and well done sir. And thankyou for your Service.
And now it is over to Mister Obama to explain himself. Well, Mr President, what say you to this hero, Mr Estes? Let’s hear it.
Good letter from someone who gets it.
In Obama’s eyes veterans are overhead.
I just sent this one out to every person in my address book. I can’t wait to see what some of the libs have to say about it.
Sent it via email
Hope it goes “Viral”
They were the ones who raised up a generation of baby-boomers to be hippies and new-leftists who introduced values that are now killing the west....
Thanks for the post.
And thanks to Mr. Estes - 95 years young - for his service to our nation and for that outstanding letter to Obama!
Maybe Mr. Estes rates an interview - by Hannity or Rush?
Need to get his letter even more widely read.
Posting it in "Editorial" would help but I haven't got the guts!
> They were the ones who raised up a generation of baby-boomers to be hippies and new-leftists who introduced values that are now killing the west..
I shouldn’t really be rising to this bait because I do know better.
Your post is bizarre and way, way out of place.
Nothing against the guy who wrote the letter of course. He sounds like a decent sort...
