Climategate e-mails sweep America, may scuttle Barack Obama's Cap and Trade laws
Telegraph Uk ^ | November 26th, 2009 | Gerald Warner

Posted on 11/26/2009 7:00:28 PM PST by opentalk

Just a few considerations in addition to previous remarks about the explosion of the East Anglia Climategate e-mails in America. The reaction is growing exponentially there. Fox News, Barack Obama’s Nemesis, is now on the case, trampling all over Al Gore’s organic vegetable patch and breaking the White House windows. It has extracted some of the juiciest quotes from the e-mails and displayed them on-screen, with commentaries. Joe Public, coast-to-coast, now knows, thanks to the clowns at East Anglia’s CRU, just how royally he has been screwed.

Senator James Inhofe’s Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works has written to all the relevant US Government agencies, acquainting them with the nature of the e-mails. But the real car crash for Obama is on Capitol Hill where it is now confidently believed his Cap and Trade climate legislation is toast. It was always problematic; but with a growing awakening to the scale of the scientific imposture sweeping the world, as far as the Antipodes, the clever money is on Cap and Trade laws failing to pass, with many legislators sceptical and the mid-term elections looming ever closer.

At the more domestic level, the proposed ban on incandescent light bulbs, so supinely accepted in this servile state of Britain, is now provoking a huge backlash in America. US citizens do not like the government coming into their houses and putting their lights out. Voters may not understand the cut and thrust of climate debate at the technical level, but they know when the Man from Washington has crossed their threshold uninvited.

The term that Fox News is now applying to the Climategate e-mails is “game-changer”. For the first time, Anthropogenic Global Warming cranks are on the defensive, losing their cool and uttering desperate

All the MILLIONS and probably BILLIONS already spent on this horseSh!t and it is just now revealed to be phony. On the BRINK of passing massive governemtn regulation- not just your ordinary govt regulation but MASSIVE regulation that could cripple the economy

WHAT OTHER BAD INFORMATION WAS THE GOVERNMENT GIVING US AND ACTING UPON?? (HEALTH CARE?)

The real question is now this:

Either the government is too stupid and it was about to make laws based on faulty data, or they knew about it and are complicit. Which is it?

**Climategate e-mails sweep America, may scuttle Barack Obama’s Cap and Trade laws **

to the UK Telegraph.. this headline presumes that BARKY NOBAMA has Brains and/or a Sense of SHAME. Since his election, I have noticed NEITHER.

I’ve only noticed an Agenda more fierce than the Taliban, and a Kill anything that gets in the way of implementing his TALIBAN-LIKE Agenda.

The irritating thing about this, is that this isn’t really new news (although the smoking guns were). We knew that there has been, at the very least, a decade hiatus in the reputed warming, a hiatus which can’t be attributed to atmospheric carbon dioxide. But it takes some really damned hubris on the part of the experts who were supposed to be objective but were not, before the nation will seriously question what issues from their temples.

What killed it for me was the report from NASA a few years ago that Mars was warming. And Jupiter. And the moons of Saturn. And Pluto.

That, and an article I read about a viking farm being excavated in Greenland, exposed as the ice retreated. Ice advances, ice retreats. Big deal.

It’s the latter, Mr. K. They knew, and they were complicit.

That includes, among others, Senators Kit Bond and Lamar Alexander.

Think how frightening this is. Elected representatives were more than willing to take away our freedoms and our property based on something they knew to be fraudulent.

It’s kind of in between those two, IMO. They probably suspected it wasn’t as big a deal as they were making it out, but gosh darn it they like being yo’ mamma and running your life, and they feel it’s their birthright as liberals.

The concept of taking everyone’s money and running everything was too juicy a prize to resist, even if they figured out along the way that it was too good to be true.

A cracked ACORN and now this. Santa’s early this year.

We’ve been given plenty of (evidentiary) ammo.
Now we’ve just got to be sure family, friends, etc. hear about all
these un-indicted co-conspirators that used OUR TAX DOLLARS to type out
their “global warming is gonna’ kill us all” mantra, then constructed
their “scholarly” publications with cherry-picked and/or massaged
data to support their evangelical environmental message.

Oh...and make sure they got/kept tenure and sweet academic salaries
and benefits.

I hope Senator Inhofe at least kicks over the rotted log of “climate
change” and exposes these maggots of the academic world.
If he starts a process that leads to some of them being fired or
a “clawback” of all the US-Taxpayer-Dollars used to fund their grants.....
that will just be icing on the cake.

Only then we might get back to authentic peer review and revive the
American scientific enterprise that often does amazing, stunning research.

I don't give a hoot in Hell about Algore being an ex-veep or a Nobel Attaboy recipient - I want to see a warrant issued on multiple charges of felony fraud, threatening national security, subversion, and even crimes against humanity, if applicable, and I want to see his bloated, scheming, bloviating ass thrown in front of a federal judge to answer those charges.

Then I want to see his bloated, scheming, bloviating ass thrown into a facility which cuts him off from the rest of civil society for the rest of his natural life.

What I find truly amazing is that Obama has so effectively muzzled the American Media regarding this issue. I am sure they are all beside themselves looking for ways to defend it but when we have to go outside of the USA to get the Truth it only means that the media has destroyed their sacred trust given them in the first ammendment and for what? Some idiot president that they think is Cool? Give me a break, Obama should be impeached over this.

“Further down the line there may be, in many countries, a question of criminal prosecution of anybody who has falsified data to secure funds and impose potentially disastrous fiscal restraints on the world in deference to a massive hoax.”

Considering that the Brobdingnagian scale, of this global criminal conspiracy, reduces the likes of Bernie Madoff to Lilliputian proportions; criminal prosecutions are most certainly in order.

I began to doubt man made GW after reading about the vikings in Greenland too. But what really set me off was a visit to New Zealand. We wanted to see the Fox Glacier, and as we went up the dirt road to the base of the glacier there was a sign. [In 1750 the Fox Glacier was Here]. In about 1/4 miles that said [in 1850 the Fox Glacier was here]. We trudged up about another 1/4 mile and there was the Fox Glacier.

On our way back down I got to wondering what caused the Fox Glacier to melt from 1750 to 1850 and beyond? It certainly wasn't my SUV. Could it be ........ THE SUN?????

They are back to the fiscal drawing board again.
