Denmark approves new police powers ahead of Copenhagen (Arrest all who "may" be trouble in future")
Guardian UK ^ | 11-26-09

The Danish parliament today passed legislation which will give police sweeping powers of "pre-emptive" arrest and extend custodial sentences for acts of civil disobedience. The "deeply worrying" law comes ahead of the UN climate talks which start on 7 December and are expected to attract thousands of activists from next week.

Under the new powers, Danish police will be able to detain people for up to 12 hours whom they suspect might break the law in the near future. Protesters could also be jailed for 40 days under the hurriedly drafted legislation dubbed by activists as the "turmoil and riot" law. The law was first announced on 18 October.

The Danish ministry of justice said that the new powers of "pre-emptive" detention would increase from 6 to 12 hours and apply to international activists. If protesters are charged with hindering the police, the penalty will increase from a fine to 40 days in prison

So the freaks who have invented the world's largest ponzi scheme scam can now arrest people who "may" cause trouble for them in the future? I realize this is Denmark but this nonsense will be spreading to the U.S. in time. That's what the guns are for, guys.

We could use this to have the delegates and attendees arrested if we think they will sign some criminal treaty in the next few days.

You mean the Dutch and I’m pretty sure the Dutch only get high in Amsterdam in certain “cafes” & “parks”.

This?

"Does this mean we can have our incandescent light bulbs back?"

...is going to become the rallying cry that helps drag this swindle into the light of day.

And yes, it is a swindle- a fraud and a cheat and a scam-- a deliberately designed construct intended to con you out of things you hold dear-- money, prosperity, freedom... and a few other things, as well.

I'm keeping a running file ( always updated ) on this fraud and scandal:

"Hadley CRU has apparently been hacked –[epic fraud?]"

Its funny....the host nations pass the same laws before Global Warming conferences that they do before every Free Trade Globalist get-together.

Not just coincidence that the same people who push Global Warming are the same that push Free Trade Globalism

Dutch Environmental Minister Bizarrely Claims Hackers Manipulated Data in E-Mails

from above link:

In an incredible reversal of fact and fiction the Dutch Environmental minister Jacqueline Cramer claimed today that the hackers who took the data from University of East-Anglia’s server “manipulated the numbers”, supposedly to sabotage the upcoming Copenhagen conference.

As a happier medium - I'd argue for a law allowing arrest of masked individuals - if they're not masked then ID'ing them for crimes during protests would be facilitated while allowing peaceful protesters their rightful voice. Thoughts?
BTW - I've been to 3 tea parties and no one was masked - nor was there any violence! ;-)

I always get confused on this - is Denmark part of Oceania or Eurasia?

I was in Amsterdam for a couple of days in the early 90s. There was a quaint sleaze about the place. I was in the USAF at the time so I stayed away from some of the more colorful activities in town. The drugs & hookers seemed to be confined in a few parks and the red light district. The rest of the city was ok. Never made it to Denmark which is a pity. I heard even the ugly Danish gals are cuter the norm.
