There is no language in the Constitution to deal with this, and thusly has been left to the courts.

Did Barack Obama Lie About His Birth To Become President?

As a highly regarded young detective, Neil Sankey was once seconded to elite Scotland Yard units hunting down IRA bombers, dangerous anarchists and organised crime barons.
Today, however, almost 30 years after quitting Hampshire constabulary to become a private investigator in California, he is wrestling with an inquiry that is as controversial as it is complex; one that makes that his former police work seem mundane by comparison.
Now aged 64, and semi-retired, Mr Sankey is attempting to prove that Barack Obama is guilty of the most audacious act of fraud in U.S political history, having become President when he was not even eligible to run for office.
The infant Obama with his mother, Ann Dunham, who met his father at university He is conducting his inquiries on behalf of a protest group known as the 'Birthers' - so-called because they claim Obama lied about his birth place to satisfy the requirements of the U.S constitution, which stipulates that the President must be a 'natural born' American citizen.
According to his biography, Obama was born 48 years ago in Hawaii, the 50th state of the union. But the Birthers are convinced that he came into the world in Kenya..
'As an investigator it has become obvious to me that something very strange is going on,' he intoned gravely when we spoke this week. 'His background throws up all kinds of anomalies. It may sound incredible (but) this guy comes from nowhere. No one really knows who he is.'
To most Americans, of course, the very idea that anyone could cheat their way into the world's most powerful post by rewriting their personal history sounds preposterous.

UK Telegraph story. The two best Eglish speaking newspapers are the UK Telegraph and the Daily Mail - both owned by the billionaire Barclay brothers who are Scottish Catholics who came from modest roots.

This story is still alive. Thanks to all the corrupt judges in America who are trying to bury this scandal.
Well, I’m delighted to see this long story appear in a British newspaper, along with a good deal of detail.
Unfortunately, the author, David Jones, failed to do his homework, and takes a lot of hearsay as fact.
For instance: “Obama was officially born five months later in the Kapioalani Hospital, Honolulu; a fact which appears to be verified by a document issued by Hawaii’s health department a few months ago.”
Well, no. In the first place, we don’t know whether the on-line COLB WAS issued by the health department. And in the second place, the COLB says nothing about his birth hospital, nor apparently does any other record. Two hospitals have been claimed as his place of birth, but neither seems to have any records or memory of his having been born there.
Also, all that nonsense about most birthers living in the South. I doubt it. I imagine that most of them are in the conservative states, many of them in flyover country. And Texas, which is a southern state but not normally included in the South.
The further the article gets along, the more dubious it is. But it’s still good to see something like this keeping the subject alive. Maybe some other British reporter could actually do a little investigating and fact checking.

He is wrong, as most of us know. The investigator had better check his legal dictionary and while he is at it consult the 1948 British Citizenship Act.

Well, we know how well that is working out. Depending upon the current definition of "is", of course.

Personally, I think President soetoro’s birth by a mother who was an American citizen is sufficient, and I don’t expect the Supreme Court to ever take it up.
If it does however, and he can be so shaken out, the more power to whomever may eventually have so prevailed. But as I said, the issue seems settled. Otherwise the Justices are derelict in their duty too.

With no birth certificate how do you know Ann Dunham is even his birth mother?
