Tiger Woods: Injuries Caused by Wife, Not SUV

Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren -- according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident.

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol -- that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday -- with a non-law enforcement type -- detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

It's very, very clear - she has to go to jail. And, FHP should NOT have let themselves be turned away by his wife when they showed up to interview him this afternoon. If you're going to drag the poor people off to jail when they start beating each other, you have to take the rich people to jail as well. I don't live in the area (Windermere), but I'm a little familiar with it - I believe it's unincorporated, so there's no police per se. It's either FHP or the county sheriff and I believe it was FHP who put out the original press release, so they must have jurisdiction.

I don't know this for sure, but from reading all the press stories, I believe fire/rescue was called immediately, as they were first on the scene. Not being familiar with specifically how 911 works in that part of FL, I would be surprised if the PoPo isn't dispatched to reports of vehicular injury accidents.

I think that FHP didn't make public the incident until 12 hours later, through the press release that they issued. Again, not positive - I could be wrong.

Yep, this story is kinda interesting. The airbags never deployed on the vehicle...so he was barely going twenty-five miles per hour. So if you ran into a tree at twenty-five miles per hour....other than minor vehicle damage....that would be it. Why break out the rear window to get the guy out? No...this whole story is falling apart.

All of the damage inflicted on Tiger...was by the wife. The media needs to get this story right. The only curious thing is that she didn’t have any weapons on her...other than the golf clubs.

I sleepwalked. I fell asleep at the office, somehow made it downstairs to my car, "sleep drove" to a motel and was in some woman's room I did not know or had ever seen before (I swear) when my wife and her bail bondsman sister came through the door. I have no idea how I got all of my clothes off and it was just a coincidence that that woman slept in the nude.

My wife (ex-wife now), her sister, her lawyer and the judge did not buy that story. Hell, even my lawyer was skeptical.

Assault with a golf club is Aggravated Assault in FL and that's a 2nd Degree Felony, or perhaps they charge it as felony domestic abuse - which I think is a third degree felony. Either way, it's jail time, no way around it.
