What has happened to the Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll? [Vanity]

Posted on 11/29/2009 11:39:26 AM PST by Maceman

As far as I can tell, there has been no Daily Presidential Tracking Poll since Wednesday, 11/25. I have not been able to find a more recent one at the Rasmussen site, nor here at FR.

Does anybody know what happened? Is the poll not being conducted over the TG holiday? Or has Rasmussen simply decided to stop conducting it?

Snide, smarmy answers are welcome (as always), assuming they are clever. But it is my hope that somebody can give me a straight answer to my question.

“Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, Rasmussen Reports will not be polling again until Sunday. “

Pray that Zero’s poll numbers are down in the 30’s by now. Toilet bowl coming soon.

They have always skipped posting the polls during holidays.

Evidently, they have a life.

Cheers

Rasmussen always breaks for the holidays because half the people are gone and the other half don’t want to be bothered by a pollster during that time.

After the negative double digits last week there was a raid and now a Taco Bell resides where the RAS HQ was.

I'll add a couple of gorditas to that taco ten-pack, thank you.

(I have no idea what that just meant.)

It’s likely that with all the extra travel, family reunions, football, and merrymaking of Thanksgiving, an accurate sample would be difficult to obtain.

Giving the white house a small reason to give thanks.

There are far too many thinking and responsible folks available by phone during the holidays.

The risk is too great for Obama’s numbers to be in the tank with people using real brains answering the phones.

The only surge Obama is waiting, planning and wishing for..... is one in the polls.

Scott Rasmussen and the gang have taken an “unexpected” leave of absence for some R&R at Nasty Nancy’s Progressive House of Reprogramming. It’s a sure bet that when they return Obama will have poll numbers in the high 90s in each of the 57 states.

“Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, Rasmussen Reports will not be polling again until Sunday. “

“However, in our absence, ACORN will conduct all polling. In its first poll, Obama has rebounded strongly and now has a +80 rating”

They outsourced their polling to CRU and the original data was lost in a move. Now they are unable to prove the decline in his poll numbers, so they are assuming they are going up.

Rasmussen is an automated phone poll, and people are not at home over Thanksgiving weekend. Hence it is useless to poll over the holiday.

I predict the Presidential Tracking Poll (the “Passion” Index) at -16% and the Obama Approval Index at 44% after families compare notes and debate over the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend.

On this page, dated Nov 28, Rasmussen reported:
Rasmussen Reports took a Thanksgiving holiday break on its daily Presidential Tracking Poll, but Wednesday marked the second day in a row when Obama’s job approval rating measured -15, the lowest of his presidency to date.
May the One keep doing to his poll numbers what he's doing to "his" country.
