Huckabee Helped Set Rapist Free Who Later Killed Missouri Woman (Huckalong Huckabee)
ABC ^ | 11/30/2009 | MARK SCHONE

Posted on 11/30/2009 11:28:35 AM PST by tobyhill

Any political ambitions of former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee could be hurt by his role in freeing Maurice Clemmons, the gunman suspected in the execution murders of four police officers in Washington State -- especially since Clemmons would not be the first criminal Huckabee helped to free who later committed murder.

Clemmons was serving 95 years when Huckabee, then governor of Arkansas, commuted his sentence in 2000. Clemmons is now being sought in the murders of four Lakewood, Wash. police officers, who were ambushed and shot in a coffee shop Sunday morning.

Four years earlier, Huckabee also pushed for the parole of rapist Wayne Dumond despite chilling testimonies from victims and their relatives that he was a dangerous criminal who would strike again. Ashley Stevens, a 17-year-old cheerleader when Dumond raped her, told ABC News in 2007 that she put her face inches from Huckabee's and said, "This is how close I was to Wayne Dumond, and I will never forget his face, and you will never forget mine. He's the one that raped me."

“Clemmons was serving 95 years when Huckabee, then governor of Arkansas, commuted his sentence in 2000.”

This is my main concern. This Clemmons guy was serving 95 years and couldn’t have even reached half that.

Maybe the criminals Huck released from prison were pals of Huck’s dog-killing son.

Me wonder about it as well. The media do have a habit of distorting republicans record and huckabee himself reject the description by the media of the incident. The ppl on the parole board who were democrat appointee maybe the ones who’s responsible and just use hackabee as the scapegoat. It is consistant to democrat philosophy.. They seem to take the side of criminal over the victim

From your keyboard to Roger Ailes’ ears. It’s the most boring segment on Fox News.

Huck is toast. Wouldn’t be surprised if Fox lets him go, too.

You got that right! Mark Levin and Ann Coulter nailed this guy back in 2008. Ann even said to his face that he is not a conservative. Stick a fork in him - he is done!

It may have been Rats on the Clemency Boards but it took a Huck to sign off on it. Huck should have read the records himself.

every death that a clemency criminal causes is blood on Mike Huckabee’s hands. Good thing he believes in Christ. He needs him will all of this death, rape, and destruction to human life and spirit. Evil dances with many faces.

Apparently all you had to do was claim you were an Atheist who has now seen the light and has converted to Christianity and Hucknanny would pardon you.

Even in his 'official' statement, Huckabee deflects by blaming the Parole Board.

Some of the Gitmo detainees who were released were encountered again on the battlefield as they went back to wage more jihad (some died in suicide bombings).

But the NO GITMO crowd didn’t find their “credibility” challenged in the media over the violent results of their actions.

He pulled the plug on himself don’t you think? Fox won’t have to do anything if the true market is allowed to work; people will just stop tuning in and ratings will tank. (his show sucks anyway)

My major opposition to Huckabee was his support for amnesty for illegal aliens.

Guess I didn't know his feelings along those lines went even further.

Don't think we'll ever have to revisit the issue with him, but....4 cops had to die to make that happen?
