“He was one of 50 Gov who all do the same thing”

Huckabee freed far more violent offenders than any other governor. Claiming that someone else also freed violent offenders does not excuse what Huckabee has done.

Find a Robert Tilton fan, you will find a Huckabee supporter.

The Huckster, in the next couple of weeks, will claim that to oppose him is to deny Jesus.

Does anyone know the story about Huckabee’s kid getting in trouble for animal abuse?
Does anyone have a link to the story?
I can sleep better tonight knowing that this killing animal that the Huckster released is now dead.

I’ve been on stage with him twice. Nice guy, but his musicianship mirrors his political aspirations: a hack.

Huckabee released and pardoned more criminals while he was Governor of Arkansas than Bill Clinton did.

More than that, he pardoned more than the nearest 6 states combined.

“lets dangerous criminals out of jail because a black preacher says he will deliver black votes if he does.”

Is that true? If so, I figured that was Huckster’s motive. I hope we have seen the last of this charlatan on the political scene.

“If he were in the WH you can bet he would be pushing amnesty too. “

Exactly, and there are plenty more ticking time bombs out there that he had a hand in setting free. I wonder how many more innocent people will have to die because of Huckabee’s arrogant, misguided decisions ? Granted there are those in Washington that share the blame but Huckabee’s record speaks for itself.

“If you think pardoning violent offenders is good and that Huckabee was right in reducing Clemmons sentence and making him immediately eligible for parole then have the courage to say so.”

I wasn’t in his position so I cannot say what I would have done. However, as Huckabee himself has said, IF he had known the outcome he wouldn’t have granted a sentence reduction. It is OBVIOUS he made a mistake....it cannot be denied. I would guess he is sick to his soul about this....and NOT because of it tarnishing his reputation.

Maybe you aren’t one here using this as an opportunity to destroy Huckabee so your own particular choice may advance. However, the VAST majority here that are making such a fuss about this fall into two groups:

(1) Fanatical supporters of another candidate (mainly Palin or Romney)(BTW - I like Palin) that are seizing an opportunity to eliminate an obstacle to their candidate’s advancement. This is crazy and destructive of the GOP.

(2) Southern Baptist haters or conservative Christian haters. These may even be other evangelicals or just Christian haters in general. Hey, this is to be expected. The dishonesty is what is disgusting. You can spot the Baptist/Conservative Christian haters because they compare Huckabee to Teleevangelists like Jim Baker or Oral Roberts.

Watch the above video again

The first words out of Mike’s mouth are to the effect that “If I had known what .....was capable of....I wouldn’t have...” He also reiterated that he holds Soldiers and Law Enforcement in highest regard because they protect us all.

Here is a PDF Copy of the proclamation of commutation signed by Huckabee. It is his name at the bottom, not the others who he is pointing the finger at.

“It is OBVIOUS he made a mistake....it cannot be denied”

If this had been just one isolated incident then you might be able to characterize this as just a mistake. But it was not. Huckabee pardoned many violent offenders.

As the article states:
"A pastor who promoted Huckabee among blacks urged the governor to grant clemency to John Henry Claiborne, who was sentenced to 100 years for a 1994 armed robbery, according to a 2004 report in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Huckabee made Claiborne eligible for parole after receiving a letter from the Rev. Charles Williams, who told the newspaper he had helped win “many, many” clemencies from Huckabee."

Huckabee also pardoned many violent rapists, murderers etc. including Wayne Dumond who went on to rape and murder an innocent young girl.

When I read about these dead officers and their families it breaks my heart. And when I see that phony Huckabee trying to slime his way out of taking any responsibility it makes me want to throw up.

This isn't about political candidates to me, this is about a self-serving phony politician who helped to cause innocent people to die and who won't accept responsibilty.

And here in Washington where he was arrested for his “third strike” why was he was aloud out on bail at all. We have a “three strikes your out” law here. He was up for life in prison if convicted for his latest crime. He was certain to flee the State, and it looks like that is what he had planned, after he killed some officers first. That Judge, the latest person to fail providing for the public safety needs to be held accountable as well.

FOLKS....Support Sarah Palin because she deserves it....BUT STOP WORSHIPING HER. And STOP trashing Huckabee (her main rival for value voters) to advance Palin. It isn’t necessary and it just leaves a destroyed party.

I can see you don't perceive the huge difference between the two that many of us Freepers do.

Sarah is sincere and real. She exudes authenticity. While Huck comes accross as a phony and fraud. Many Freepers refer to him as the "Huckster".

Beware the Elmer Gantrys of the world.

.....“Sincerity is everything. If you can fake that, you’ve got it made.”

Huckabee EXPOSES HIMSELF as a man with NO INTEGRITY or LEADERSHIP qualities.

He's nothing more than a wannabe. Pass on Huckleberry Humperdink.
