A convicted sex offender has been charged with beating and sexually assaulting a elderly woman as she gave him a tour of a rural Kandiyohi County church last month.
According to charges filed Monday, Lindon Roy Knutson, 61, left the 73-year-old victim bloodied on the ground outside the Crow River Church on the afternoon of Nov. 24.
Knutson has been convicted of a string of sexual assaults dating back to 1973 and has spent much of the past three decades in prison.
In Wisconsin, he was committed as a habitual sex offender, most recently at a mental health institution in Madison.
He admitted to committing at least 10 previous assaults, but a judge in Wisconsin released him from commitment last year, the complaint states.

Liberalism and RINO-ism cause death, ask Dukakis and Huckabee.
I half expected to see the guy’s name was Bill D’Auterive.
This is very serious story......
But you have succeeded in causing me to LMAO....
“He admitted to committing at least 10 previous assaults”
That headline should never be allowed to be written.
It's because of people like him that I carry a gun.
People like him and people like that scumbag in Seattle....
So much pain could have been avoided over the last 30 years...all for the lack of 5 dollars worth of rope.
I’ve got rope...that woman could’ve been my Mom!
...but she would’ve shot him. ;)
This is my greatest fear for my Mother. She lives in a real nice neighborhood. I have all of her neighbors looking out for her.
But, just a couple of miles down the road, well within walking distance, is the proverbial ‘trailer park’...
I’ve finally gotten her to not answer the door and to not venture out on her own. But, that in itself, won’t stop someone intent on doing harm.....
Let him out on bail. If he kills some police in a coffeeshop we might take notice
Good! I just watched the episode where Bill takes up with the Methodist minister.
