Congress scrambles to extend estate tax

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Next year had been shaping up as a great year to get a big inheritance - no federal taxes on it. Congress, however, has other plans for the few wealthy heirs expecting a big boon. Uncle Sam may take a 45 percent cut after all.

Under current law, the federal estate tax is scheduled to temporarily disappear next year before returning in 2011 at an even higher rate. But the House is expected to vote as early as Thursday on a bill that would permanently extend the current top rate of 45 percent on estates larger than $3.5 million.

The difference between them and us, is they are willing to use their guns to enforce thier will at the drop of a hat. .......possible, but not likely once the lines are drawn between the states that proclaim their sovereignty and the federal thieves....
I seriously doubt that the armed forces would act against the American Patriot....nor will the State Militia, State police, etc. It's coming....when? Who knows.... No need for violence...just stand up and say NO...no more...you are fired! Imagine 1,000, 10,000, 500,000, 1,000,000 people or more declaring the end to tyranny.
How? State Sovereignty movement sounds good but has accomplised Zero. FedGov has ample resoures to come after 1,000 people who stop obeying their laws. Even 10,000 isn't that big a problem. There are 14 million Federal Employees (including military and post office). If throw in SSI recipients you soon find that even in the Redest of Red states, Wyoming for instance, you have a huge percent of people dependent on The State for their sustinance. Trying to pass resolutions ending FedGov illegality and unconstitutional programs is therefore very difficult in any state. If not impossible. Which is why to date all such resolutions have the impact of declaring today "Pet Weasel Day". Buy, hey I am ALL EARS if you have a plan. I should would love to see one.

Frankly.....it will take a legitimate threat of succession.

Now, I do not say this to be bombastic. Actual state legislation will get attention and may ignite a movement. Of course, the pain applied by the socialists will have to increase beyond the severe pain threshold.

The fire of freedom will likely start in Texas.

How much estate tax did Ted Kennedy pay?

No income.....no tax.

No one should have their wealth plundered upon death....not even Ted Kennedy.

I'd love to think so, but I doubt it. The 2000 Census showed that Texas was 11.5% black and 32% Latino. That's a serious hump to overcome in your battle for restoration of the Republic. Blacks are lockstep with Socialism, that has been proven in numerous elections. Latino's are 2/3 Dem voting, but trending in that direction. I know Texas has many proud Latino families that have internalized the Texas spirit. But I suspect they are being overwhelmed by recent immigrants.

I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see a Free Texas, but I think the demographic trends are against you and the next Census will show this definatively.

JB......I will NEVER throw in the towel.... I have faith that those citizens in Texas that work hard...that save...that pay their bills....that discipline their kids...and that pray for a better future for our children will come together regardless of ethnicity.

The alternative is to form the alliances necessary...and play smarter than the opposition. We are dealing with intelligent leaders of criminal enterprizes, i.e. ACORN.
