Free Republic's Rino Free America Project
December 3, 2009 | several

Posted on 12/02/2009 10:31:56 PM PST by Freedom2specul8

Recently Jim Robinson posted two threads declaring Free Republic’s determination to see Conservatives elected and ousting Rino's from government. Jim and a great many Freepers believe that we need to take back control. But the RNC is not hearing us. Activism is called for NOW. 2010 is nearing and we need Conservative candidates to run. The time is ripe and people are ready for another 1994 type election. But we need to make the RNC hear us loud and clear.

This is the Rino Free America Project. Get involved. Make them listen. Write a letter and MAIL it.

Republican National Committee
310 First Street
Washington, D.C. 20003

To Whom it May Concern,

I am a (member/visitor/friend) of FreeRepublic.com, a non-commercial Conservative website which is "...a political discussion forum and independent grassroots conservative activist group supported by donations from our readers and participants...." (freerepublic.com). I watched the Presidential election with interest. I have watched local, state and federal elections with interest. I have been extremely disappointed with the candidates you have selected to represent Republicans. I have grown weary of candidates who have chosen to ignore conservative ideals, principles and values. Conservatives want strong candidates who are not afraid to stand against liberal agendas, democrats, and the liberal media. Unless I see a commitment by your Republican representatives to protect and defend conservative principles, and actual evidence (legislation and behaviour) that there is change, I will not send in donations nor will I vote for your candidates. I have no desire to support a political party who does not reflect the core values of Conservatives.

I would like to quote the founder of FreeRepublic.com, all of which can be found here http://www.freerepublic.com/home.htm:

"...In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side. Believing that the best defense is a strong offense, we (myself and those whom I'm trying to attract to FR) support the strategy of taking the fight to the enemy as opposed to allowing the enemy the luxury of conducting their attacks on us at home on their terms and on their schedule.

Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security. We support our military, our troops ... and we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency. We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing.

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty..."

After reading what your website says (http://www.gop.com/index.php/learn/what_we_believe/), it is very clear that you don't pick candidates who support or defend your belief system let alone the Conservative belief system. As a result, I believe the Republican Party has left the conservatives. There has been growing evidence that many elected officials are not true Conservatives. Instead, we tend to call them RINO's. RINO's are defined as "Republicans In Name Only". I believe the majority if not all Republican candidates and elected officials are RINO's because of their actions and votes in congress.

I believe that you are aware of what a RINO is because after completing a quick search on your gop.com website, I noticed quite a few references to RINO's in the search results. I view RINOs as Republicans who claim to be Conservatives, but use their postition to promote, defend and protect liberal ideas, goals, agendas and legislation. While observing past campaigns, I noticed that your candidates use action phrases, slogans and key words that appeal to conservatives, but after they are elected they fail to promote, defend and protect the Conservative platform. You have compromised without a fight for far too long. This is completely unacceptable.

In conclusion, I declare the following:

And will not be supported by Conservatives.

Sincerely,

Name
Addresss / State

We have been frustrated and angry at the way we have been treated by the political elite in this country. They have ignored us, belittled us, overlooked us, and singled Conservatives out for their special brand of contempt. It is bad enough when liberals and Democrats do it, but the betrayal of our Constitution, Conservative values and morals at the hands of the party we built and supported for many years has been the ultmate blow to Conservatives.

ARE YOU SICK TO DEATH OF HEARING THAT THE PARTY YOU ONCE TRUSTED TO UPHOLD CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES IS A BIG TENT THAT ADMITS ANYONE WHO BELIEVES IN NOTHING IF THEY DECIDE TO WEAR AN 'R' AFTER THEIR NAME??? TELL THEM ABOUT IT!

Write a letter, (it will only take a few minutes of your time) and SEND IT! Not an email. Not a fax. Not a phone call. We want to flood their headquarters with letters they can't ignore. Have your friends and family send as many letters as they can. The value of ONE handwritten letter with words inscribed from the heart, is worth more than ten voices screaming at the top of their lungs. Let them know you are serious.

No more contributions to the RNC (not one cent) If they insist on supporting RINOs who don't adhere to core Conservative principles and values. Tell them in your own words that you will support individual candidates of YOUR choosing on their own merits, and not the party hacks they want to jam down our throats like Dede Scozzafava and Arlen Specter. Tell them why they have reason to fear us. They won't if one or two letters trickle in. We need thousands. DO IT TODAY OR TOMORROW, BUT DO IT!!!

This was a group effort by DJ MacWoW, MestaMachine, Kim4vrwcs, bcsco, and hiredhand with Jim Robinsons approval

The only thing I disagree with on the platform is being against “homosexualism.” While I am not for a “gay agenda” I am in no way against homosexuals. Most gays were born that way and cannot help it. It’s a defect formed in utero like cleft palate or webbed toes. They are our brothers and sisters.

That's not been proven but even if that were true, one repairs webbed toes and a cleft palate, don't they.

Thanks Lucy! adding a couple of pings... :)

It’s late and I’m tired.. If not for Jim Rob’s BIG 2200+ POST thread about RINOs, and DJ MacWoW’s idea, this would not have happened. RINOs have generated a lot of activity and interest on FR for a reason.

NOW is the time for ACTION!

G’nite and see you tomorow~

BS. I have homosexual friends, two very nice middle aged men who have made it quite clear to me it's their CHOSEN lifestyle. In their youth, both of them had relationships with women, one was married with two children.

The party has been sending me questionairs lately,
which I fill out naturally in a FreeRepublic mannor
and on all of them I write that they will get no more
funds from me until Sarah Palin and others like her
are candidates. I do NOT want to reach across the Isle
just to find my self screwed by democrats again and again.

Solid Conservatives UP!
Freepers to the FRONT!

All of this is in the Republican Party Platform.

Most people don’t read it and that’s a pity.

I have two female friends who are “coupled” lesbians, going through an unofficial marriage together about 10 years. They even have a 7-year-old boy who is born as a result of a sperm clinic visit during their “coupling.” Other than specific gay issues that affect them, like state-sanctioned marriage that might affect the custody of their child, they're actually relatively conservative.

One was married to a man in an abusive relationship, but decided to turn gay after the divorce. The other had sex with a man ONCE when she was 18, deciding that men weren't "right" for her either.

There may or may not be tendencies or predispositions to homosexuality for a host of reasons. But ultimately, it seems to be a CHOICE ...

"What do we do when the leaders of the local community are focused on gaining more power, rather than protecting our rights?"

Excellent question that should be asked of candidates we suspect are on their power trips. Most of them are in a constant state of denial. They think that their good intentions to make their country a better place have no impact unless they rise to a position of power. They become addicted to the game of reaching higher and higher positions and forget about the good intentions they had when they began their power trip. They become like Tiger Woods who gets to the pinnacle of his life and animal light goes of in their brain that says I CAN DO ANYTHING I WANT THE THE HELL WITH ANYONE ELSE! Their earlier ideals go by the wayside.

The man of big dreams, the momma in tennis shoes (Senator Patty Murray) and the good human being becomes that narcissist that could care less about the good intentions they had in their earlier years. In order to placate the nagging guilt that they have compromised their ideals, they fall prey to the seduction of socialist Marxism. Once they learn that they can receive campaign contributions (which they launder into their private bank accounts) from those they give grant money, the cycle is complete. They have become fully enmeshed into the system. They cut themselves off from the society they represent or live in. They wall themselves out from the rest of society. They cease to be responsive as human beings to real people (Sarah Palin is so special because she stays connected to real people). They insulate themselves with email word limits, staffers who pretend to listen to what we say and our letters dumped unopened in the trash. The only human interaction they give us is a computer program set to fire off a form letter with the click of a mouse.

We need to break down those walls. When we call our representatives and demand that we talk directly to them. No longer should we have to talk to a stooge staffer (let the staffers read every word of those lengthy bill they write). We need to talk to the representative directly for their own mental well being. We need to demand it and not take any excuses like, "Representative Adam Smith is at lunch," or "Senator Maria Cantwell is on the Senate floor." We need to take our county back by taking these representatives to the task of doing their job.

I did it last week!

Whenever possible, use the postage-paid return envelopes that you get when they send you those money requests or bogus surveys.

I’m sorry, but if 2.5m irate tax paying voters get nothing but scorn and ridicule, exactly what do you think this will do?

The RNC will continue to push RINOs because they are all politicians... and the dems are pushing for a massive increase in power for ANY party in control.

The RNC, just like in NY23, will continue to push money to the RINOs, knowing the grassroots doesn’t have the cash to defeat them nationally
