It's time we stopped trying to win elections, and instead worked to purify the Republican party.
I would like to nominate Blomberg as the Rino Poster child.
He’s been working overtime on the National Socialist’s agenda of taking away guns from right minded people.
You have to figure that Schummer and the rest of the Statists have been itching to run to the microphones and disparage gun rights after each one of these crises now with more important fish to fry, they have to publically hold their tongues, it must be torture to them.
But anyways, Bloomberg is laying some of the anti-gun groundwork for them.
Why can’t we boot that Bozo out of the party?
No. There will be no room for dissent. Toe the line or else. Purity is Victory. Time to take down the big tent, there’s all sorts of nefarious goings-on in that thing.
The RNC cannot be made into a “reliable conservative force”, and we shouldn’t really bother. the RNC exists to provide a way to get a majority vote so we can enact legislation. To do so, it has to judiciously accept membership by a majority of the electorate, which means tailoring acceptability based on local electoral concerns.
This is best done by closed primaries, where locals pick their candidates in a system where they are pledged to support the winners in the general election.
This is the best chance for Conservatives and Moderates to maximize their effectiveness. This is like game theory, if we go for 100%, the moderates will want 100%, and we’ll all end up with 100% of nothing, while Pelosi and Reid laugh all the way to the socialized country they desire.
It’s like we are building a human pyramid to get to the top of a wall, but whenever we get close, someone starts shooting the base to get rid of people they disagree with.
Conservatives win if they are run. We lost in 2006 and 2008 because of big government Rinos.
That's the spirit Charles! If you never try, you'll never fail! Of course you'll never win either.
A big (((HUG))) to you from me!!
Good job. No more RINO’s....
For a long time, we have returned the RNC fund-raising letters with writings in red: “No money from here, because you are enablers of the biggest political scandal in history by NOT protesting the vetting process of the illegal alien and usurper in the W.H.!” The same sent to all other Republican fund-raising letters.
Any truth to the rumor that Doug Hoffman is now a freeper, posting as "Scozzafavahunter"?
thanks for the ping
bump to the top
IIRC, McCain did best in open primaries, where non-Republicans could cross over and muck up the process.
I've yet to hear the RNC endorse closed primaries.
Mary Bono is married to Connie Mack???
Interesting observation that our traditionally “treasonous” AFTER-BIRTHER are shining here with their absence, PTL!!!
Just WHY would we all want to be identified by the RNC/GOP/RinoCentral as being Tea Partier Anti-RINOs?
I certainly have enough problems in my day to day life without courting outright animousity and who-knows-what-all-else from getting my name on a list for millionaire-RINOs and billionaire-RINOs and their friends & supporters to plot and plan over.
Surely this is NOT safe.
It doesn’t appear those two ladies are looking at his biceps.
You want to affect change or hide under the blankets? Your choice.
Thank you for letting us do this Jim! Looks like the moderator took this thread out of every category possible, minus editorial and changed the title. How will this be helpful to the project? I thought this would be a great follow up to the big threads about RINOS. If freepers can’t see it, what’s the point? :-(
NO way will I put my family into such obvious danger.
Is this some sick joke???
I'd rather be called a bitterly clinging paranoid kook than surrender my family to the mittbots, I mean that is SO obvious, that words are failing me.
I guess we’re gonna have to repost it regularly because the mods (or someone) changed the title and took it out of many topics. :-(
NO way will I put my family into such obvious danger.
That's so over the top that words fail me.
I know. JimRob backed this and we get put in the basement.
Donate through PayPal -- and let Meg Whitman see my name, address, and freerepublic moniker???
I don't even send twenty dollar bills - because ATMs have been able to follow the 20s ever since the 1970s.
So if I won't use Meg Whitman Romney's PAYPAL to send a donation to Jim Robinson, you better believe that I'm not gonna volunteer my family's name and street location in a letter to the DNC/RNC/GOP/RinoCental.
That is simply nuts.
Sarah Palin is SMART to have no website which all the rich rinos can hack. Soon to be President Palin is BRILLIANT to keep everything WIDE open on twitter and facebook.
Send my name & number to the ENEMY????
Normally when the mods edit the thread they put an edit history link at the top of the thread. For this one they did not. Am waiting to see what happens.
I don’t understand as JimRob looked this over before it was posted and gave his approval. It’s a Free Republic Project.
If you're a registered voter, they have it anyway.
Free Republic is a grassroots activist site. If you're going to hide, why join?

Any ideas added to the thread are helpful.”
If everyone does SOMETHING to protest the move toward supporting RINO candidates at the RNC it would make a statement. No matter how small, do SOMETHING. Even if it's only like when the RNC calls for a donation tell them, “I'm sorry, I don't have any $$ to donate at this time. I'm sending my $$$ to the (name here of Conservative politician/candidate's of your choice) election campaign fund.” Then ask the caller if the RNC plans on supporting that candidate to the fullest extent and in what way are they doing that?
You make a good point in this just being a reference point. It makes for good talking points in exposing and defeating RINOs who have become far too comfortable for far too long.
I hope you will seriously re-consider this entire idea.
I am now being advised that since I am a registered voter, that the DNC/RNC/GOP/RinoCentral has not merely my party affiliation with name & street address -- but that they also know my freeper name and that I am anti-RINO.
Now...... even I am NOT that irrational.
There is no way that I mail a letter to the DNC/RNC/GOP/RinoCentral, as suggested in the OP and tell them I am a freeper and I hate RINOs and here is where I live.
This is NUTS.
I won't even use Pay Pal to send in my donations, because that's simply giving my freeep moniker and name/address to Meg Whitman Romney on a silver platter.
Furthermore, I do NOT believe that it is safe for RINO CENTRAL to compile a special list of rino-hating freepers.
The mods pulled this main thread from the side bar. Would you mind alerting your ping lists. Mesta’s thread is suppose to be complimenting this one, and the mods were suppose to add a link to it from here. :(
Where is the word HATE used?
Hennie, see #51...
Good job all!
I have taken the pledge never to vote for another RINO. I voted for McCain because of Mrs. Palin, but never, never, never again.
Mine have been pinged. :)
On this thread? I didn’t see it. Just mestas..
But that’s okay....we may have it pulled anyway. Mods removed Free Republic from title and took it off the sidebars since last night. Am just sick about it.
But kindly do NOT address me again.
It was good enough for Washington, Jefferson, Madison et al. They formed a Republic from behind bushes. We'll save it the same way! So Run away!

It doesn’t work that way. You are on our thread that was approved by Jim Robinson before it was posted. He read every word.
Good lord, the histrionics coming from you. Have you ever considered auditioning for a soap opera?
If you do not want the RNC to have your Freeper handle, don’t give to them.
If you’re so paranoid you don’t want them to know your real name or address, don’t give it to them.
Better yet, don’t send a letter at all.
Too juvenile to have any effect, Kim.
Then don’t write a letter. “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
I used to be a moderator for a group against illegal aliens and we were furious over the stance the RNC took on it all our members asked for their donations back lol and everyone told them how mad they were and would not donate. They literally had to close some offices.
I am still mad about that actually and until I see a candidate who stands for the things I think are important no more $$ and we moved last year so I won’t give them any info either.
Didn’t think of it that way. If they received say “thousands” of letters of former supporters, who are demanding change, would they still ignore us? If that’s TRUE, than I will never vote repub again.
Asking for donations back...thats a good one.
A strong conservative party would become one of two major parties with I estimate 33-40% of the voters and relegating the GOP-RINOs to third place and eventually ignominy. A strong conservative party, espousing the values described here, could vie for independent votes in election years and capture a national majority.
That’s a rather simplistic view.
A lot of good conservatives lost in 2008. They didn’t lose because they were conservative, but they lost.
The problem with trying to make a political party “my way or the highway” is that nobody thinks alike, and the more things you put on the list, the fewer people will agree with your position on all of them.
You have things on this list that conservatives disagree with, depending on their ‘flavor’ of conservatism. But beyond that, not everybody who is “conservative” is conservative on every issue.
The attempt to define “conservative” by a list of issues is hard enough. To then limit yourself to people who are the same as you on those issues will guarantee you a minority party of no consequence, kind of like the libertarian and constitution parties today.
In countries where they do parties like this, they have dozens of parties, they all win a few seats, and then they make “coalitions”, where the members of the coalition don’t agree on everything but decide to “get along”.
In our country, we’ve decided to do “coalition-building” at the party level. That necessitates parties that have some leeway, both in degree and application.
SO not only does the pro-life movement allow for different “meanings” of pro-life when endorsing candidates, but the republican party includes fiscally conservative, limited-government libertarian types who don’t agree with the pro-life position.
As a website, Free Republic can certainly factionalize — we are already only a small portion of the republican party. But if the party exists to create a ruling majority, it has to be a bigger tent than could exist under the guidelines specified here.
Now, these are great guidelines for deciding who to vote for in a republican primary. The way you eliminate those you disagree with is at the ballot box, not by imposing a purity test.
