The Mall of America's public relations director apologized Wednesday to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin after internal notes and comments were released to the Associated Press as the mall's guidelines for covering her book tour stop next week.
Among the supposed guidelines: Reporters would need to address Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, as governor, and foreign reporters would be banned.
Dan Jasper called the comments poorly worded and "definitely an error on our part and don't reflect our policies."
"I personally would like to apologize to Gov. Palin and anyone connected to the book tour because absolutely this was an issue on our end."
Jasper said the internal notes were sent to one AP reporter who had contacted the mall about the guidelines for Palin's visit from noon to 4 p.m. Monday for her memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life."

Why would they ban foreign reporters...aside from FOX, how are we supposed to get any news?
Notice the AP always snooping around to find dirt or dig at a new angle from which they can show their hate for Sarah....

Through some local news outlets, the no foreign reporters thing was being reported as “don’t show up if you don’t speak English.”
Leave it to the AP to screw up a one car parade.....
Well that makes sense.
It would also make sense if applied to airline passengers.

Was in a major department store last week. Asked where the baby clothes department was and the sales clerk didn’t know because she didn’t speak or understand a word of english.

Somebody at MOA is trying to make Palin look bad. No surprise.
That makes sense if they weren’t planning on providing interpreters.
MOA is the SECOND largest mall in the U.S. King of Prussia mall just outside of Phila., is the Largest. I had a friend that actually took a vacation to MOA with his kids to show them the Largest mall in the U.S. Needless to say he was a little put out when he was told he went to the wrong place.

I don’t get the fuss. Why not address her as “Governor?” She is entitled to carry the title with her. This does not make sense.
My guess (and it is just a guess) is that the behind the scenes notes and inquiries which are a part of EVERY visit were leaked in the hopes of embarrassing or distracting the Palin book signing event.
The pettiness of urnalists is breathtaking...
Of course being from a mainstream media outlet so of course I do not have a clue at all what happened. Can you point me to something that explains what the MOA memos said?
