Sneak Into The U.S? There’s An App For That

PHOENIX -- A California professor has created a cell phone application to help guide immigrants across the border.

The Transborder Immigration Tool is meant to reduce the number of border crossing deaths.

The application can be downloaded onto low priced Motorola phones. It uses GPS technology to guide users through the desert and pinpoints locations where food, water and shelter is available.

Security consultant Karl Delaguerra said the so-called safety tool is dangerous.

Delaguerra has trained security forces around the world and said criminals would be interested in the application.

"The bad guys are dialed in to all the intelligence networks and resources that we all have access to and we need to be concerned about what information we're providing them,” he said.

Ricardo Dominquez, the University of California San Diego professor who developed the tool, hopes to make the application available for free on the Internet.

Citizens in Central Phoenix had mixed feelings about giving illegal immigrants a hand crossing the border.

“If it decreases the risk they take by trying to cross I don't think that in itself is a bad thing,” said resident Melissa Healy.

"They ought to place whoever is helping them do that in jail,” said Dana Jule. "I mean, I don't know what part of illegal people don't understand. If you're helping you know them do that, then you're breaking the law too.”

Such an app should be hacked so it directs them precisely to the border patrol agents waiting for them.

It would sure be a shame if that code was hacked to direct the wanderers to the nearest Immigration office. Or Joe Arpaio’s HQ.

Or get one the the patrol's hands and they can be waiting next to the food/supplies dumps.

Cool.
Get some copies and post Minutemen and Border Patrol along the best corridors. That should stop the invading barbarians or force them back out into the desert.

Isn’t there a law about aiding and abetting a criminal?

ILLEGAL in the term “illegal alien” actually means LAW BREAKER.

I say bunker bomb the border and then build a fence on OUR side. Then put some alligators in canal the bombs would create.

That new 800plus foot tunnel with an elevator from Tijuana to San Diego should be bombed out of existence.
