Preparing for Global Collapse (Liberals Bent on Economic Apocalypse)
FrontPageMag ^

Posted on 12/03/2009 11:06:09 AM PST by TruthHound

...To begin with, many governments currently find themselves on the verge of bankruptcy. Having tried to spur economic growth through vast injections of new money, they have contracted immense public debts. “High public debt looks entirely unsustainable in the long run. We have almost reached a point of no return for government debt,” concludes Société Générale in its report.

Leading the way is the United States which posted a deficit of nearly 10 percent GDP during the last fiscal year. The Obama administration projects that America’s national debt will exceed its annual economic output in the 2011 fiscal cycle. It will then continue expanding as far as the eye can see, reaching 107 percent of GDP in 2019. It should be remembered that these are the administration’s own figures, which almost always tend to be too optimistic. The reality is likely to be worse.

The deep indebtedness of western governments raises serious questions about their financial viability. Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, the Telegraph’s International Business Editor, puts it bluntly: “Almost all western governments are insolvent… we are bust.” Evans-Pritchard is correct. The level of indebtedness is unsustainable. Unable to squeeze much more from taxes, sooner or later western governments will have to start defaulting. The default will very likely take the form of high inflation as governments will try to print away their immense debt burden. This will, of course, have dire economic repercussions....

It's all-in with nothing in the hand. That's what unrestrained global liberalism has gotten us.

I know, but the tinfoil hats, Alex Jones-types may be onto something with the globalists moving forward with a created crisis, currency re-alignment, climate treaty, ICC courts and unfettered border crossing...mixed with heavy taxation and a never-ending bureaucracy.

If you were trying to make things improve, you would do exactly the opposite of what Obama and Congress are doing, could it be to unite the world under a Global Government?

Sure looks like it.

That’s what happens when you have the people who DON’T PRODUCE MAKING THE DECISIONS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DO.

I’d be interested to see a chart with the debt ratio for the major countries around the world. The nations still in good shape are the ones to watch, likewise the failures are the best candidates for rolling into some kind of “co-prosperity sphere” or other touchy-feely euphemism for supranational government.

Recession, Depression, Deflation, Inflation, Collapse Or Recovery?

[snip]

"The Fed has to do one of two things: They either have to pull $1.5 trillion out of the system by June, which would collapse the economy, or face hyperinflation. This is why the Fed has instructed banks to inform them when and how much of the TARP funds they can return. At best they can expect $300 to $400 billion plus the $200 billion the Fed already has in hand."

Global Government was the goal of the AGW hoax,
and also the goal of destroying our currency (to be replaced with a global currency).

In order to usher in utopian socialism, capitalism must be destroyed. That’s been the historic pattern all over the world. Our Democrat “masters” are deliberately bankrupting us.

I have no tin-foil hat in my closet, nor anywhere else, and yet I have concluded that there is an intentional effort underway to overwhelm and collapse our political and economic structures; the better to impose a "new order" upon them.

This is neither a conspiracy nor the work of some secret cabal but rather the open, out-in-the-daylight efforts of institutions, foundations and individuals with a common interest in global governance, social control and resource reallocation.

Then I think we all know what our only hope is. How long do we wait?

“That’s what happens when you have the people who DON’T PRODUCE MAKING THE DECISIONS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DO.”

Well said. Liberal Washington is disconnected from reality. For example, while the rest of the country is suffering severe unemployment and financial hardship, the federal government keeps growing apace — by recklessly spending everyone else’s money.

By sheer chance I tuned into a Senate Budget Committee hearing on C-SPAN. I was so fascinated I watched the whole thing. There was a concensus among Dims, Reps, and witnesses. Here is what lies before us:

Our problems cannot be fixed with "Regular Order," i.e. can't be fixed by Congress. There will have to be a special commission with near dictatorial powers (like the Base Closing Commissions) to apply the medicine.

Expect a Value Added Tax.

I agree. Something is up and we are to pigheaded to believe we are being led over a cliff.

2010 will be a teller. If the public steps up to throw the current regime out and it fails to happen, we will have proof.

Now, how many pigheaded dolts will say. Well, wait until 2012?

That is the reason we are here today.

Simple strategy. You can’t have total power until after the total collapse.

There is really no way out, however, those who prepare for the inevitable collapse of living standards will be able to live in relative freedom from misery. Third-world living is simple and can be very healthy, although there won’t be a horribly expensive medical system to keep you going past your prime. Look at how people lived years ago before petroleum, and before the government’s creation of false prosperity through debt. Add in a lot of technological advances that will still be cheap to implement, and it’s not so frightening really. On the other hand, those who can’t learn to adapt will suffer greatly.

They have gotten away with "unintended consequences, look at the man behind the curtain" for so long perhaps they think they stll can. After 70+ years of socialists programs we should by now know the consequences are intended.

It is called the Cloward-Piven Strategy, named after two Leftists psychologist, and it proposes just that - overloading the system so that it fails. They have been using it for years. That is how ACORN and associates work. They turn in thousands of new registered voter and/or absentee ballots at the last minute knowing there is no way for the registrars to check them before the vote.

They do it everywhere in every venue and it works. They use our moral values and our freedoms to destroy us.
