The White House indicated it will fight any congressional attempts to subpoena an administration official to testify about the security breach at last weeks state dinner.
Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.), the ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, threatened to subpoena White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers to discuss how Tareq and Michaele Salahi got into the event.

The List, ping
This does seem to me to be more of an executive branch issue as opposed to a legislative branch issue.
O is clearly running a slack house and he needs to fix his issues.
The elitist Chicago community organizer protecting Desiree and her lack of follow through as list-checker. She blew it, he knows it, and won’t do a thing about it.
All these idiots think they are in a reality tv show. Betcha sweet Desiree took money or “a deal” for the unguarded door. It smacks all over of “balloon boy” doesn’t it?
Bush43 did the same with Rove and Miers at the end of his term.
That's because Aunt Esther told him to...in no uncertain terms!
“Betcha sweet Desiree took money or a deal”
Brilliant. I didn’t think of greed as a motive.
I was thinking old Desiree, being a member of the Kenyan’s royal family, was playing diva.
Not allowing her to appear certainly raises suspicions about her motives.
Could be amusing.
I daresay the press will bury it, but Desiree Rogers is the daughter and/or granddaughter of “the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans.”
How’s that for fame?
It sure does smack of “somebody” doing “somebody” a favor...like the AF1 flyover that scared those poor New Yorkers so badly. (I still think someone should’ve been horsewhipped over that...)
Transparency at its finest.
Bump to that!!!
Seems like one cover-up after another with the lame-stream media complicit.
I’m gonna tell you a story, strange as it now see-eems...
Of zombie, voodoo, gris gris, and the Witch Queen of New Orleans...
She lived in a world of magic, possessed by the devils skew-ew...
From a shack near the swamplands, made of mud-pile brick
Rogers stirred her witches brew-ew!
Scooter Libby might beg to differ. For that matter, so would Karl Rove.
SO what is he trying to hide? Would they have NOT passes a regular security check? Is it really the WH that would not pass security or are the following the regular MO and just ignoring ALL the rules?
This reveals the stupidity AND utter contempt for America these people have.
Judge Napolitano specifically noted that despite mealy-mouthed Gibbs' words:
WH social secy and event organizer----Desiree Rogers---- CANNOT claim "separation of powers" for not appearing before Congress....since her job does not involve state secrets.
