EDITORIAL: The enemy at West Point--Liberals continue their assault on our armed forces
The Washington Times ^ | December 4, 2009 | Editorial

Posted on 12/03/2009 5:48:07 PM PST by jazusamo

Insults against West Point by MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews are part of a pattern of left-wing denigrations against Americans serving in uniform. It's a motif indicative of an anti-military mind-set that is as dangerous as it is rude.

Discussing the West Point audience's response to President Obama's speech about Afghanistan, Mr. Matthews quipped on Tuesday: "I saw a lot of, if not resentment, skepticism. I didn't see a lot of warmth in that crowd out there that the president chose to address tonight. And I thought that was interesting: He went to maybe the enemy camp tonight to make his case. I mean that was where Paul Wolfowitz used to write speeches back in the old Bush days. That's where he went to rabble-rouse the 'we're going to democratize the world' campaign back in '02. So I think it was a strange venue."

So, when did our brave military cadets become "the enemy camp"? If Mr. Bush or Mr. Wolfowitz went to West Point to "rabble-rouse," does that make the cadets a rabble? And why would it ever be a "strange venue" for any president to go to the U.S. Military Academy to talk about a war?

Matthews is correct, as far as he goes. West Point IS the camp of many of the Mutt’s enemies – just as the White House is currently the camp of one of the cadets’ most loathsome and contemptible adversaries.

As for the venue, where else could Duh Won speak drone aloud to a group of people absolutely prohibited from booing, jeering, gesturing, turning their backs, or walking out?

He can’t even get a captive audience in the Congressional Black Caucus.

What I don’t understand is how any one can sit and watch Matthews. I can’t even stand to look at him without wanting to slap the dog doo out of him.

He certainly treated them like the enemy, making them wait in the auditorium for 4 hours before gracing them with his presence, due to “security” concerns.

Is there a single group of that many Americans of the same age amidst whom he would be safer?

I can’t begin to remember how many years it’s been since I refused to watch his show. Once in a while I’ll watch a short video here when he’s inserted foot in mouth but that’s it. He’s a dyed in the wool libtard idiot, maybe when Comcast gets partial control they’ll fire him, I can dream.

Good point, I can’t think of one.

The wife told me yesterday she heard a caller on Rush’s show that had a son that was there say they were ordered to applaud, I known their hearts weren’t in it.

LOL!

That’s a great graphic, it really depicts Matthews’ love for the 0ne.

I sure wish some Middies had hacked into Obama's teleprompter and typed in, "Go Navy, Beat Army.

That would have been the ultimate prank the week before the Army Navy Game.

Zero kept our cadets waiting 4 hrs???? Really?

I knew he hates their guts - but that goes beyond the pale.

I work with an Obama koolaid drinker who saw the speech and said it was “wonderful” - “perfect”.

This person asked me if I watched it.

I said of course not.

Of course I did not watch this imposter in chief as he used the Cadets for a photo op. Did not want to become nauseated that night.

But I did follow the speech here on FR and read what others said about it and saw a few video clips of it. I reorted that I saw the faces of the cadets and they were not enthusiastic, they were bored, they were indifferent, and they gave only mild applause at certain points of the speech.,,,but they received Zero much less enthusiastically than they received former President Bush when he spoke there.

She said - did you not see them rush up to Obama with hands outstretched after it was over?

Can anybody tell me if that happened? I didn’t read of it here on the live thread.

Quite right. The enemy camp, or the enemy, went to West Point.

So, when did our brave military cadets become "the enemy camp"?

Openly and officially, November 4 , 2008 with the election of obama. Unofficially in the 1960's.

Judging by his decorations, including CIB, this cadet is an Army combat veteran. He could definitely teach Zero a thing or two.

Matthews grew up in a generation that hoped that the USSR would emerge as the world’s leading power.

They hate them because they are not capable of doing what they do. They hate Sara for the same reason. They are God less, miserable souls,

They are also terrified of Us.

They know if the sh!t hits the fan, they won't eat after initial supplies are gone,

There will be almost no one to protect them, Their own will beat them, steal what they have, take their most prized possessions Al Gore will not let them on His compound

It is not only the military that is the enemy of the Left.

Christianity
The Bible
Freedom
Accomplishment
Success
The Boy Scouts

Leftist are smarter than everybody else and have a pathological drive to control everything. They need to guide everything and everyone to enlightenment.

What drives them mad, out of control crazy, is anything they can’t shape and mold. You know, to make it “better”, more equal..etc.
