The thing about a ceramic knife is that they can be shapened to a ridiculously honed edge. Any slashing type cut with it would slice down to the bone, cutting tendons and nerves. The cuts would be not only disabling but also especially gruesome, always an edge. Slice across a neck with enough force with a ceramic knife and you cut all the way through to the spine.
Awesome. Thank you.
~~Airplane dry run ... PING!

This strikes me as too obvious for an operational rehearsal. I think what we have here is a deliberate attempt to provoke reactions that could be used for a lawsuit.
I think it's probable that Islam fails to understand Americans, and therefore underestimates Americans. American judges and American government entities may not profile ... but when push comes to shove, Americans WILL.
Just in case you haven’t caught this one ... (it’s so hard to find these threads in searches because they all have such different words in the titles)
Thank you for the ping Jet Jaguar.
This may be the most complete and researched story on this (your Canada Free Press article).
Thanks. It’s the best I have seen so far and I just read the first rendition of it about three hours ago. It seems to be breaking fast now. Damn the press and gov for trying to keep this quiet.
Marked to read tomorrow
Yeah. Ask James Woods (actor, not related to that OTHER Woods family in the news) about dry runs. He flew from NYC to LA with Atta and the guys. This is serious and everyone needs to know about it.
The way they tried to distract all the flight attendants at once is deliberate. IMMEDIATELY all airlines need to counteract this with flight attendant training. If possible, even to ignore someone using a cell phone (I don’t believe it actually interferes with plane communication, does it?). They need to be aware of their surroundings and to CONSIDER a planned multi-distraction.
Be carefull regarding that ceramic knife, you could end up in private room talking to some “suits” explaining again and again why you had that on you. They usually label the carrying of a obvious weapon as artfull concealment and will attempt to make an example of the person. I prefer something that I can explain away like a a carabiner that I can fit my hand thru or a gerber LX 3.0 flashlight ie: instant brass knuckles or a short stick ( fist load). A masterlock that a large handkerchief can be tied through the hasp gives you a blackjack. All these items raise virtually no alert. A stout hickory cane is classed as a medical device and cannot be confiscated plus with a little practice can be used liked a rifle with a bayonet at close quarters.
The knife is hidden in such a way that it is virtually undetectable. I am comfortable with the knife. I have trained in knife fighting and competed in forms with the Sai which translates to a knife very well. I have defended myself against a guy that had a gun with a knife and came out on top so I am very comfortable with a knife. The fact that I have used one in a real world scenario also takes away the bit of hesitation that one might have.
I walk with a slight limp (I crashed a motorcycle a few days before 9-11) and on some of my worst days I will use a cane. The thing about a cane is that using it as a weapon on an airliner is confining. The best route is either hand to hand or a knife.
On airplanes I use a rubberband as a bookmark. It is good for keeping the book from opening up when you throw it ahead of you. You charge, throw the book as you close the distance, he ducks, you are on him, spill his guts, on to the next guy. Like a fullback after a good block on a lineman, you take on the linebacker next, then the safety.
You ARE something of a Jack Bauer!
LOL. Still and all some good ideas. I have to fly in two weeks and gettin’ a little apprehensive.
