And that Obama’s half-sister has a COLB from Hawaii, too - even though she wasn’t born there.

(arguably like Obama himself).

The government says that the case is closed so everyone just shut up! That goes for birth certificates, global warming, the stimulus plan, health care, the party crashers.
But we need to know all the details of those evil conservatives. Let’s talk about Sanford, Ensign, Sarah Palin’s kids.
A major barf alert was needed here.

Despite the political Left's attempt to diminish "Birthers," they are anything but a "fringe."

The "fringe" is now composed of a huge segment of the American population -- and it is growing.

An October 23rd item reported that three-in-ten Americans think their current head of state was not born in the United States, according to a poll by Angus Reid Strategies.  That's almost a third of all Americans.

Now, Goddard's Political Wire points to a new Public Policy Polling survey in Arkansas shows that only 45% of voters in the state say they believe Obama was born in this country, while 31% say they think he was not and 24% are unsure.

"Arkansas is the first of four states where we've polled the birther issue (Virginia, North Carolina, and Colorado were the others) and found less than half of respondents confident that Obama is a natural born citizen.  The numbers are particularly dramatic among Republicans with 49% saying Obama was not born here to just 23% who grant that he was."

If as Comrade Obama Jr claims his dad was Barak Hussein Obama Sr, of Kenya,
than it's not possible for Junior to be a Natural Born Citizen of the U.S.

At the time of the drafting and ratification of the United States constitution,
the definition of natural born citizen, combined both the principles of jus soli and jus sanguinis.

“The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.
As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes to its own preservation; and it is presumed, as matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children; and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see whether, on their coming to the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”
Emmerich De Vattel, (1714-1767,) Law of Nations, 1758, § 212, "Of the citizens and naturals."

Question: "Would you make the birth certificate an issue if you ran? "

Answer: " I think the public, rightfully, is making it an issue, I don't have a problem with that. I don't know I would have to make it an issue, 'cause I think that there are enough members of the electorate who want answers.....

One could, if one is supportive of this fine lady, hark back to Shakespeare's Portia, the female lawyer in The Merchant of Venice- ok a bit over the top for me, I concede.

What a masterpiece of diplomacy to what could be a very, very loaded question. They could have dumped on Sarah as a sort of moonbat, a "birther" no less.

This lady has finesse and brains.

Just started in to read the OBAMA FILE. No matter which side one is on- and Freepers are mixed on this, it should be studied.

A scholarly and beautifully written piece of work. Still open though, to scholarly and well thought out rebuttals. Rebuttals that I would openly and without quick dismissal, I would like to read.

I have worn out my genealogical research groups with this question. This on the factor of the Kenyan Barack Obama Sr. Not to get paranoid, but the premier research paid record, I subscribe to, has actually been spammed, on the name Obama.

I would presume it is to show researchers that if there was anything revealing to the name Obama, they got there first.

Hell no. They have a number of writers from outright conservative to semi-libertarians. Moran is a right-winger but he’s just unhinged on Palin.

He strikes me as one of the “elite” types, though, if you dig me.
