Official Request byCongressmen to See Obama's Birth Certificate-Straw Which Breaks This Camel's Back

OFFICIAL REQUEST BY CONGRESSMEN TO SEE OBAMA’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE WILL BE THE STRAW WHICH BREAKS THIS CAMEL’S BACK

Political analysis by John Charlton

Obama's presidential campaign was hailed for its forceful imagery, but after 11 months the public has come to understand the undisputed facts about him, don't fit the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

(Dec. 4, 2009) — Georgia’s representative in the U.S. House, Nathan Deal announced in early November that he and 10 House colleagues were going to sign a joint letter, asking Obama to publicly reveal his birth certificate,.

The simple enough question was rebuffed and ridiculed by the Main Stream Media, and even the Savannah Morning News, as if a birth certificate was some sort of private journal or diary of past affairs.

The mere fact that the liberals and progressives ridiculed Nathan Deal — whose only interest is to quiet the nation — shows that they have no substantive reason to oppose the request. It further shows that they know that Obama cannot oblige Deal and his co-signatories, for in Democratic circles nothing is a secret.

What will Obama say to Nathan Deal? The answer must come soon. Deal said that he was to send his letter after Thanksgiving. Any delay on the part of Barack Hussein Obama to oblige Deal, will only further erode his political influence in Washington, D.C..

Obama has been effectively checkmated by the concerted effort of public support, publicized lawsuits on the eligibility question, publicity campaigns such as those of World Net Daily and Charles Kerchner to put the issue in the face of liberals on a constant basis, and blogs and bloggers the world over.

If Obama obliges him, then the online image of a Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) provided by his campaign will be proven a forgery, according to the consensus of opinion of citizens who have studied the images posted on the net and found some images of the allegedly same document, contain a HI State seal and some do not.

If Obama does refuses, however, it will only further confirm that he has something to hide.

Palins remark that it is a valid issue and Ogden’s resignation as Deputy U.S. Attorney General in the same week, following the sending of Nathan Deal’s letter, appear to be diagnostic signs that the political establishment understands the risks and imminent crisis about to break. The publicity garnered by the testimony of the U.S. Marine, who goes by the nik, Race Bannon, only further tilt the Obama regime towards political implosion.

Even the pulse of Obama’s political support on the net tells the tale: a lull and quiet among them posting comments at opposition blogs is noticeable. There remain only the violent, the perverse and the somewhat mad to carry on the cheers of “Change,” which were the mind numbing drum beat of the Obama for American campaign, just 14 months ago.

The political momentum of the nation now follows diverse roads to the same destination, and the resulting fireworks are going to be much brighter and invigorating than those of any Fourth of July in many a year!

Wondering whether or not Obama can or will try to use executive privilege to avoid submitting proper documentation is not trolling. Neither is pondering the implications of Cheney’s failure to ask for objections at the electoral vote certification.

Get over your pathetic grudge already. It’s tiresome and childish.

The people will demand his BC in 2012...he’ll be unable without his BC to even be on many state ballots. This is a snowball and it is rolling....he’ll be forced to resign long before that, IMO.

Ping to an article regarding a request from congressional representatives to see Obama’s BC.

I'd change that to an article about a month old story that a a representative said a month ago that he "will" write a letter requesting a copy of Obama's birth certificate. So - it's been a month. Where's the letter?

I bet he can invoke executive privilege

No, don't think so. His BC has nothing to do with his actions as President. But, he gets letters, including letters from representatives all the time - asking him to decide on Afghanistan, asking him to condemn X or clarify Y. If it's s "just" a letter, it's not an "official request," and he doesn't have to do anything - just has he doesn't have to respond publicly to the many other letters written to him by various representatives.

If they wanted to see proof, they should have asked for it before certifying the electoral vote.

Right.

However, I don’t think Cheney asked for or allowed objections as per the official certification process. I wonder if and how that would affect a ruling on whether or not he has to submit the BC

Cheney used the exact same words, in the exact same order, in 2009 as he did in 2005. If there were any objections, they had to have been submitted in writing. If there had been any objections, he would have known that and formally asked for them.

Again, if they're just sending a letter, there would be no ruling on anything. It's just a letter! It would be different if the House or Senate opened an inquiry an issued subpoenas. But - this is a completely different situation. It's no different than the various other representatives who have been recorded saying that they wish he'd release the BC. It's just in writing (or - Deal promised that it would be in writing). But it has no more "force" than something said in an interview.

I’ve had more productive and extremely polite exchanges with libtards at other sites on this issue than with this group. I’m happy to simply not have discussion with your group, but y’all just can’t help yourselves. It’s pathetic.

“So what if that is released and contains no irregularities?
Then what?”

Well, Duhhhh.
The issue will go away, but it will be harmful to
Obammie for thumbing his nose for so long.

My contention has always been:
1. He does not have a BC, because he was born outside of a hospital, or, he was NOT born in Hawaii.
2. He has one, but it contains embarrassing information, such as father’s name.
His best out is to say that it was a home birth.

The whole issue is very strange, but I am leaning on the
side of those that believe he is NOT a US citizen.

I was thinking of Senator Grassley’s requests for documentation from the WH regarding Walpin’s firing. Was the WH not obligated to respond on some level? I know they began negotiations with him and his staff about what they would provide.

As far as the ruling is concerned, I was thinking about how that might play out should the issue be escalated to that point.

There were no questions surrounding the president’s qualifications in 2005. So I wouldn’t expect anything different. I don’t know why, but I was under the impression that the written objections could only be submitted if and when Cheney asked for objections. Is there a process beforehand to submit objections?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If Obama does this, then the issue will continue to fester and **will** likely become a full blown infection **long** before the next election.

Polls show that 51% of Republics do not even believe he was born here. The percent would be higher if the respondents had been asked if it was impossible to know or if they had doubts.

I doubt that Obama can do any kind of massage therapy on those kinds of numbers. This will blow up in his face.

( By the way, I am among those who claim that given the evidence it is impossible to know for a certainty if Obama was born in the U.S. We do know his father was Kenyan and British and I personally would like a Supreme Court clarification of that issue.)

Then what?

Then it will be up to the birthers to prove that the witness committed fraud, which they won't be able to do.

But it won't come to that. At most, Obama will simply let the Congressman examine physical copy of the same COLB document that was photographed on Factcheck, and the Congressman will say he is satisfied.

In the very unlikely event the Congressman says he wants to see the long form, Obama will simply say the COLB is sufficient to prove his place of birth in any court of law (which it is), and that will be the end of it.

Not really. The computer printout that was posted on the internet is an offical certification by the state of Hawaii the facts contained on the form, including the fact that he was born in Honolulu.

That's good enough in any court of law to prove the place of birth.

So no, it's not the original birth certificate, but that's irrelevant.

I was thinking of Senator Grassley’s requests for documentation from the WH regarding Walpin’s firing. Was the WH not obligated to respond on some level?

If I recall correctly, those requests were formally issued by the Senate Finance Committee as part of an official investigation. And, even there, I don't think the WH "fully cooperated" (or even barely cooperated). Unless a Congressional Committee issues a formal subpoena, the WH is not obligated to respond. And, when a committee does issue a formal subpoena, the WH (all WH - of any administration) frequently cites to executive privilege - but that's because the Congressional Committee is seeking information about Executive Branch deliberations/actions.

In contrast, here, as reported, a bunch of Reps are getting together - without the auspice of any official committee with subpoena power - to "ask" Obama to provide information about something that occurred long before he became president. So - it's not an official request. If such a request were to come from a Congressional Committee with subpoena powers, however, he could not (imho) claim Executive Privilege because the information the committee would be seeking has nothing whatsoever to do with his actions as President. Executive Privilege applies only to deliberations by the Executive Branch.

Does that make sense?

I don't know if there's an official process for that, but I know that in 2000, not just Congress -- but anyone watching the news in the days leading up to the count -- knew that, in the Senate, a formal objection either had or would be filed, so there was no surprise when it was announced on the floor.

I'm fairly certain that the statute says only that written objections must be filed -- it does not say when they must be filed. But, at a minimum, there is precedent for prior notice of written objections - from 2000.

Then he would have released it and got this over with by now. Every day he deceives and uses DOJ to defend his lies he becomes more criminal.

He could have had Hawaii records release a copy of the short form if it was just like the one on the web.

Nope, not this time. If there's nothing of interest about his BC, the only effect will be to make the people who shouted so loudly about it, look silly.

There are plenty of things the Obama has done and is doing that make him look very bad, indeed. The BC thing can't match that ... unless it's open to question. In that case, I believe we'd have a rather interesting Constitutional crisis on our hands.
