The End of Audacity (Public souring on President Present's Vision of Mega-Government)

For President Obama, the era of big Government is not over. "It is true, we cannot depend on government alone to create jobs or generate long-term growth," he proclaimed in his first budget to Congress. But "at this particular moment, government must lead the way." A partial Obama to-do list, only some of it done, includes a remake of the health care and energy sectors; a $787 billion stimulus bill aimed, so far, mostly at public employment; takeovers of General Motors and Chrysler; a "pay czar" to cut salaries at bailed-out banks and a proposed new consumer-protection agency to police the nation's lenders.

[...SNIP...]

Yet in today's hard economic times, something startling began showing up in public-opinion polls: fewer people than in the past wanted Washington to step in. In the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, only 23% of respondents said they trust the government "always or most of the time"--the smallest proportion in 12 years. The percentage of voters who think government should "do more to solve problems and meet the needs of people" has dropped 5 points since Obama's first weeks in office, while that of those who think government should leave more things "to businesses" rose 8 points. The shift is especially noticeable among independent voters, a small plurality of whom wanted government to "do more" after Obama took office; now--by a margin of 17--they think government does "too much."

"What people understand that policymakers in Washington don't is that there's a real belief out there that all government does is waste money," says Doug Schoen, the pollster who helped President Clinton move into the era of "Big Government is over" after the Democrats' 1994 midterm-election drubbing.

It's not a belief, it's a fact that has been proven time after time after time, Mr. Schoen!!!

Well, he IS an ex-Clinton man, after all. We just need to make certain to speak a little more slowly and use slightly smaller words than normal, is all. ;)

Even if they weren’t “wasting” it, it isn’t their money to spend.

The Alinsky Rules are simply a rehashing of Leninist and Trotskyite tactics. Lenin knew that bringing Russia to the brink of famine and collapse would be required to drive Russian farmers into the arms of state collectivism. Obama is not as clever as Lenin or Trotsky, but he knows how to read. What Obama missed, however, is that Americans don’t have centuries of serfdom in our past. We’re not Russian farmers.

W/ America-hating Obama ensconced in Washington, Americans are witnessing the emergence of a new government dictatorship. His use of czars is a demonic ploy to evade public scrutiny. These people pop up and we discover Obama pals Valerie Jarrett, Mark Lloyd, Van Jones, Kevin Jennings making radical policy decisions to change America.

Historically, dictatorships are characterized by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect each other from accountability. Rampant corruption, fed by cronyism, are the nuts and bolts of dictatorships.

============================================

As the grinning, smirking Ohaha said to a reporter recently----"we're going through 'wrenching' changes." What's he inhaling? What's so funny, Obama?

CASE IN POINT Where is the unspent stimulus? The WH still has not spent 85% of the stimulus----buzz is Ohaha is saving it to fund endangered Dem candidates in 2010-12.

CASE IN POINT We kept reading and hearing about Obama's rushing Congress to approve the $787 billion stimulus package early this year. Now uber-Lobbyist Thomas Hale Boggs, Esq, interviewed by ABC nightly news several weeks ago, said, "there's $2 TRILLION federal stimulus waiting to be distributed". Boggs said he was getting unprecedented numbers of calls from all over the US......from those who want a piece of it. (Boggs is the son of former Cong Hale Boggs and brother of former ABC-TV commentator Cokie Roberts).

CASE IN POINT Obama tapped VP Joe Biden to "allocate" the stimulus $$trillions. Biden's family was involved with Texas financier H. Allen Stanford, now charged with an $8 billion offshore fraud, the WSJ said. The Bidens $50 million fund was jointly branded between the Bidens' Paradigm Global Advisors LLC and a Stanford Financial Group entity, and was known as the Paradigm Stanford Capital Management Core Alternative Fund, the paper said. Stanford-related companies marketed the fund to global investors and also invested about $2.7 million of their own money in the fund, the paper said, citing a lawyer for Paradigm.......... Paradigm Global Advisors is owned through a holding company by the VP's son, Hunter, and Joe Biden's brother, James, according to newspapers.

CASE IN POINT How can this be legal? A jaw-dropping policy the White House released late on a May Saturday afternoon........hoping we would not notice. "Following OMB’s review, the Obama Administration has decided to make a number of changes to the rules that we think make them even tougher on special interests and more focused on merits-based decision making. First, we will expand the restriction on oral communications to cover all persons, not just federally registered lobbyists. For the first time, we will reach contacts not only by registered lobbyists but also by unregistered ones, as well as anyone else exerting influence on the process. We concluded this was necessary under the unique circumstances of the stimulus program."

CASE IN POINT On June 9, 2009 Obama called a press conference to announce, "Several financial institutions are set to pay back $68B to taxpayers." Reasonable people (taxpayers) assumed that any money or profit would be returned to the general funds from whence it had come .......in order to pay down the debt. The truth, however, is that the money returned by the banks is finding new life as part of what amounts to a Treasury Dept-controlled slush fund.

CASE IN POINT Obama's obsessive reach for "healthcare reform" confirms reform is another trillion dollar govt slush fund for hand-picked insiders.......ACORN, Soros, SEIU. Keep in mind---COS Rahm Emanuel and his brother Dr Zeke--are in charge of the healthcare trillions.

COULD THE STIMULUS BE BRIBING HOLDOUT LEGISLATORS TO VOTE FOR OBAMCARE (/snic)? A largely overlooked provision in The senate healthcare bill sends $100 million to Louisiana to "help" cover costs for Medicaid "for the poor." PLUS another $200 Million for Katrina costs. Former holdout Mary Landrieu as the 8PM vote loomed Saturday night: "I've decided that there are enough significant reforms and safeguards in this bill to move forward." (Duh)

CASE IN POINT Ohaha hid $17.5 BILLION stimulus in NJ. According to an investigative news report, the stim hit NJ and disappeared----a huge chunk of the stim was intended for the Dem gov's reelection kitty (he lost anyway). The rest was probably wire-transferred offshore.

BTW, Ohah's planning ANOTHER trillion dollar stimulus. His goal is to make every Democrat in America a multi-billionaire....on the backs of US taxpayers.

“The End of Audacity”

To all those “independents” out there goes a big thank you for electing a Democrat-controlled government.

Maybe you’re all not as “brilliant” as you think you are.

(Nothing but a bunch of maroons who are gonna save the puppies, the “middle class” and the polar bears.)
IMHO

Commies don't believe in a middle class. And someone has to work to feed the puppies. So yes, there will be class.....just us slaves and the government.

Personally, I think Nina Easton has done her part to keep the big government oligarchy in business already, with her elitist snubbing of the people’s choice candidate. Let’s watch to see how see happily screws the “common” folk this next election....I know I will.
