So Senator Baucus is nominating his girlfriend for U.S. Attorney jobs, while she was on his staff: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1209/30228.html
While Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson is holding hearings to get money from the credit card industry (according to his own former staffer): http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/12/04/AR2009120402256.html?hpid=topnews
Does anyone have a list of these crooks when the dems captured Congress in 2006 when Pelosi commented about more honesty and ethical lawmakers in Washington?
They are all Crooks. They have been “compromised”. Come knock on my door you MF’s.
I agree. But we should put them on a cool looking list and have it circulated all over the internet.
Promise: This leadership team will create the most honest, most open, and most ethical Congress in history Speaker-Elect Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Press Release, November 16, 2006
Broken Promise: Pelosi and other Democrats were on shaky ground with their continuing claims that they are running the House with what she termed great openness and transparency. [B]efore Democrats stake their claims for charting a new direction, they should deliver on some of their earlier rhetorical boasts. Majority Ruling, CongressDaily PM, March 30, 2007
Broken Promise: Its a familiar backpedaling pattern emerging early in the new Democratic-controlled Congress. From lobbying reforms to anti-corruption proposals to curbing earmarks, Democratic lawmakers who railed against Republican corruption a year ago have flinched from imposing the harshest standards on themselves. Congress Reform Promises Fizzle, The Politico, May 21, 2007
You might think that these should be ‘added to the Democrat’s ethics heap’, but you couldn’t tell from the article that they are Democrats.
