the U.S. government will buy the largely unused $145 million Thomson Correctional Center, which was built in 2008.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

How many private businesses would build a $145 million dollar building and allow it to sit “unused”?

Also...Will the combatants be mixed with the general criminal population? If so, I see plenty of opportunity for Muslim proselytizing, and even more homegrown style terrorism from U.S. criminal converts to Islam.

Finally,...I bet the enemy combatants themselves would rather enjoy the safety and comfort of Guantanamo under the care a supervision of our highly professional military than in a U.S. based prison.

From what I have heard of Supermax prisons, prisoners never see each other at all. It would be like hell on earth, especially compared to the relatively open confines of Gitmo. In one very real sense, if the lefties think the terrorists’ rights are being violated now, wait until they find out how they’re treated at a Supermax. There are no beatings, no torture, nothing like that, but it’s definitely NOT a good place to be.

From what I’’ve been told, one can pretty much get whatever one wants in prison.
Will be fun watching if any guards get caught providing porn, drugs, or maybe a B.L.T.
Or if any guards help any escape.
Maybe a fellow moosie sympathizer. Since the hires will be politically correct ya have to allow mosies to be guards too now don’t ya?
