Please look at what giving amnesty to as many as 20,000,000 illegal alien foreign nationals actually represents. More than the population of 16 states and DC!
According to the 2000 census, 18,785,867 is the total populations combined of Wyoming, Dist. of Columbia, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, Rhode Island, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Maine, Idaho, Nebraska, West Virginia, New Mexico and Nevada.

Immigration Detention System Lapses Detailed

Growing numbers of noncitizens, including legal immigrants, are held unnecessarily and transferred heedlessly in an expensive immigration detention system that denies many of them basic fairness, a bipartisan study group and a human rights organization concluded in reports released jointly on Wednesday.
Confirmation of some of their critical conclusions came separately from the Homeland Security Department’s inspector general, in an investigation that found detainee transfers by Immigration and Customs Enforcement were so haphazard that some detainees arrived at a new detention center without having been served a notice of why they were being held, or despite a high probability of being granted bond, or with pending criminal prosecutions or arrest warrants in the previous jurisdiction.
The bipartisan group, the Constitution Project, whose members include Asa Hutchinson, a former under secretary of homeland security, called for sweeping changes in agency policies and amendments to immigration law, including new access to government-appointed counsel for many of those facing deportation.[snip]

90 Day Invasion Solution Without Confusion
The debate over the illegal alien invasion has already happened. The American people have stated loud and clear that they want all illegal aliens deported and not rewarded. Those who do not want illegal aliens deported, including some elected politicians, racist separatist hate groups (MALDEF, LULAC, MECHA, the National Council of the Race, etc), the media and elitists like Bill O’Reilly continually tell us that we can’t “ROUND UP” twenty million people.
The term “round up” is inflammatory and is used to make us seem barbaric or less than human and discourage us from doing what must be done to save America. The truth of the matter is, we don’t have to “round up” anybody. What we have to do is make existence in this country extremely hostile to those here illegally and guess what? They will leave! Make it where they can’t buy or sell, can’t rent, can’t drive, can’t work, can’t medicate, educate or incarcerate! Do these things and THEY WILL LEAVE!!!
Having said that, I offer, to MY country, a humble plan to rid us of this huge burden. This plan is based on common sense, THE LAW and a will to do it. It goes like this:
Congress shall declare a 90 day amnesty for ALL illegal aliens. During that period NO status adjustments will be made. Zero! For 90 days illegal aliens will have the opportunity to dispose of any accumulated assets, both real and personal. Bought a house? Sell it! Bought a car? Sell it! Got a dog, give it away! They will have three months to settle their affairs and sever all ties to this country.
At the end of the amnesty period, on day 91, ANY illegal alien still here will be considered a federal, felony fugitive and will be arrested and jailed. One year the first time. FIVE years the second time and TEN years the third time. We will build a tent prison in the California/Arizona desert and expand it as needed. Once jailed, all assets will be seized and sold at auction. All proceeds will be used to incarcerate said illegal aliens. These stipulations will apply to anyone who entered the country illegally OR any visa overstay of one day or more.
ANY ILLEGAL ALIEN CAUGHT IN THE UNITED STATES AFTER THE AMNESTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED WILL BE BANNED FROM THE COUNTRY FOR LIFE!
On day 91, ANY employer who hires an illegal alien fugitive will be jailed. One year for the first offense, FIVE years for the second and TEN years for the third. These laws and penalties will also apply to any bank lending money to illegal aliens and anyone giving them aid and shelter, including churches.
American born children of illegal aliens will be placed in jeopardy by the actions of their parents. Since the American people had no hand in those actions, the responsibility for the care of those children will be that of their parents. If they self-deport, they have the option to take the kids with them or leave them here with an adult of their choice. If the parent is incarcerated as an illegal alien fugitive, they have the option of placing the children with an adult of their choice or making them wards of the federal government and placed in an institution until their release.
These measures are hard but they are fair and are needed to assure the survival of this once great country. They apply to anyone in the country illegally regardless of race, creed, color, height, weight, age, sex or national origin.

Sounds harsh, Terry. But it’s not. Let me tell you what ‘harsh’ is...and it was considered, by the majority of our legislators to be enforcible USA law. Though the Supreme court disagreed, for all the good it did when corruption is running the government.
My ancestors were given less than a month’s notice to vacate their homes, remove their belongings and ‘sever all ties to this country’ before the Georgia Militia or the US Army removed them by force from their uncountable generations occupied homes in 1839. And I mean ‘homes’, beautiful, European styled HOMES and groomed, productive plantations. But they didn’t get to ‘sell’ them. Instead they were ’removed’ by foot and wagon, in the dead of winter, with what they could carry. First they were locked in the livestock stockades of Forts for weeks sometimes, in the rain, with no shelter. They traveled for over a thousand miles. About 4 thousand...A quarter of them died.
And now, these modern day ‘Ameri-Indian’, Muslim, whatever invaders want us to believe we are being ‘harsh’??? Sorry.

William Handen, or whoever he may put forward to take possession of the same and that you may have ample time to prepare for the same, I will allow you until the 28th day of this month to do the same.”

Altawarh asked Bucks County Judge John Rufe to allow him to be addressed by his alias during the trial, complaining that jurors might be biased against a person of Middle Eastern descent.

Boy Howdy! Did they ever. The defense of Palin and her non answers is turning out to be about the same.
A lot of people have pinned their hopes on Sarah because she irritates the right people. Unfortunately that’s not enough. If she’s unwilling to deport illegals then she’s not suitable to run the country.

Actually, it is much more than that. Heritage research has concluded that the cost of amnesty alone would be $2.6 trillion. And the number of additional LEGAL immigrants who would join those who were the recipients of amnesty through chain migration, i.e., family reunification, would approach 70 million over a 20-year period, assuming there are only 12 million illegal aliens. If there are 20 million illegals, there would be an additional 100 million more LEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
So the real numbers for an amnesty range from 80 million to 120 million. We cannot assimilate such numbers. An amnesty would destroy the United States of America with the stroke of a pen. Amnesty is forever.

I did not jump on the Palin bandwagon, as so many FReepers have. Palin has NOT proven credentials, her Sarah PAC has been funding war chests for at least 4 RINO’s, and she has refused to repudiate amnesty.....danced all around it.
If she backs McCain over Hayworth (or another conservative, if Hayworth doesn’t run), she is a traitor to conservatism, and a RINO to boot.

Sarah Palin needs to answer the questions and stop hedging. All we have at this point is her Univision interview where she stated...NO workplace enforcement, no deportation, and a ‘pathway to citizenship’. Is she is, or is she ain’t??? THAT is the question. I’m tired of politicians who won’t answer the questions. Listen carefully, she isn’t at all clear on the Lars interview or any of the others and they won’t pin her down. You and I can articulate immigration policy in a few words...so should she and stop the beating around the bush.
If we’ve come to the point that we can’t hold our own to the fire and let them get away with avoiding the subject, we might just as well all be obamaites.

But I REFUSE to give her a pass when she won’t answer and YES she is clearly for amnesty, no enforcement in the Univision interview. She doesn’t want to send them home.
