For the record, this post is being posted in News/Activism by the express permission of Jim Robinson, founder and owner of Free Republic:

“Debate on church doctrine and or threads on specific religious matters may be best posted in the religion forum, but the defense of religious freedom, especially against those who wish to deprive us of same belongs front and center on FR....They banned God and prayer and creationism from public schools and public places, but I’ll be damned if they’re gonna ban Him or it from FR!”

From the article:

The evolution of shopping: Both PhysOrg and Science Daily reported that shopping strategies of men and women show “evolution at work in the mall.”

Jim authorized pop psychology to be in News/Activism? Wow, what's next, how women decide between Coach purses?

LOL, This is funny stuff. It is fun to try to explain things based on a theory like evolution, but it’s unprovable and meaningless.

It is good to expose evo-silliness, just as it is good to expose the silliness that would have us believe that humans are driving climate change. And while both are laughable, both are also dangerous to science, not to mention our freedom.

One has nothing to do with the other. Your attempt to link them is yet another example of your desperation.

Women's shopping tendencies at a mall -- yeah, that is what passes for "hard science" in your clique.

Female dinosaurs would frequently go to the temple and demand their mates give up all their clams for cave shopping.

RE :”(Evolution is) Like that silly “gravity” and “light” and other unprovable and meaningless theories.

I am talking about past evolution silly. You know, human beings. That is not like gravity and light. Past evolution can never be a scientific fact. It is a brilliant theory, that's it.

Check this out Godsguns. Usually I get ripped on your posts for going after Creationists like you. Now I got this evolutionist jumping on me.

Okay... coming from GGG talking about magical powers, who cites from a book that is stuffed with tales of magic, spirits, 900 year old men, talking serpents and chariots of fire zooming about the skies. Yeah...

Well, since you misuse the terms "theory" and "scientific fact" and don't understand why and how TToE is exactly like TToG (in fact the former is very much advanced pver the latter), I need to take you as I find you.

Check this out Godsguns. Usually I get ripped on your posts for going after Creationists like you. Now I got this evolutionist jumping on me.

Sorry, I missed those. It would be interesting to see.

Except I’ve seen light and gravity work.

You have CREATED a gravity field? Wow! How did you do that? What was the underlying force you harnessed to do so? Why haven't you published? Where is the anti-grav field machine?

I said the THEORY of Gravity, not the phenomenon. We have billions of data points that are the observable phenomenon of TToE. And we have seen evolution happen in front of our very eyes (or do you think virus adaptation is just an interesting "thing" that doesn't tie into anything?)

Unless you have a cat-lizard in your pocket, evolution is more like cryptozoology or perpetual motion machines.

Again, you tell the world you have no idea what a Scientific Theory is. I suggest you hie thee to a University and learn a little about science before making thineself look more uneducated than thou hast done so.

My point exactly. But, for our purposes TToE=The Theory of Gravity. TToG=The Theory of Gravity.

You want to know my criticism of creationism ? You think historical evolution is a scientific fact? You can prove it?

1) There is no such thing as a "scientific fact." That is a concept invented by lay people so they can feel good about what they think they know.

2) You see Evolution in action every day. You and your siblings look like your parents, but a little different. Viruses and bacteria create resistance to antibiotics and other treatments. Flies from a common source cannot breed with the "source" species after a short time living in subways.

3) The fossil record is pretty comprehensive. Unless and until there is alternative SCIENTIFIC explanation for the tens of billions of fossils then there is no alternative to TToE.

Your question only shows how little you understand science.

The evolutionary theory does not state that we would ever find a “cat-lizard “ It only explains the fact that a cat and a lizard share a common ancestor at some point in the distant past.

You really should try some independent research instead of regurgitating creationist talking points.

Yes -- in this case science defeated philosophy. Hopefully soon, science will also defeat philosophy in the AGW world.

That is why the AGW "scandal" is great -- it is scientists (and lay people like you) asking the AGW proponents for SCIENTIFIC proof of their lies. And the AGW folk are like the creationists -- they got nothing.

Someone smart would be posting links that bring curious folks to the site... that’s how I would do it anyway.

Maybe we could break with the fighting for a little time out... (Any evolutionists who read this, could you please resist the urge to be annoying and concentrate on fighting our supposed common enemy for a few minutes? It would be ever so refreshing).

Something funny going on over at twitter is predictions for 2010. A poster named andilinks is pretty good... here’s a couple she did:

In 2010 some aspiring reality show star will do something so outrageous that the MSM will devote a whole week’s programming to it 24/7.

In 2010 Timothy Geithner will be caught in the main vault at the fed covered with honey and million dollar Treasury Notes.

Here’s some of mine...

In 2010 John McCain will become a conservative again... for about 20 minutes.

In 2010 A new surgical technique will be invented allowing Joe Biden to have a brain transplant, finally making him smarter than his hair.

In 2010 The same surgeons who operated on Biden will permanently transplant tiny teleprompters on the inside of Obama’s eyelids.

In 2010 Nancy Pelosi will be visited by Satan, who will then try to negotiate with her to get his soul back.

In 2010 Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal will become the darlings of CNN... (Sorry, wrong list)!

Anybody else care to take a shot at it?

Stand back and finish your drinks folks, I think I have it all worked out.

People go to shopping malls to regain that missing sense of community and tribal fellowship that had as Hunter/Gatherers. And to overcome the flat feet they developed while turning rocks over for bugs. Evolution.

People outlive chimps and apes so the chimps and apes won't be heart broken at the passing of their keepers at zoos. This came about when the chimps stood up to look out over the Savannah grasses, discovered they were too short and decided when they were humans they would invent fire and lawn mowers. Evolution.

What was the other one? Yes, flowering plants. Flowering plants gained an advantage because australopithikins had big nasal cavities and flowers are always the way to an Ardi’s heart. That and small teeth. So apes evolved color vision and flower shops and the rest is mystery. Evolution.

Well, there you are. No birds. Can't stand birds after finding out Jack Horner wants to change'em into lizards or something. Cheers!
