Actually, I don’t think they should have just banned minarets, but mosques altogether.
The Swiss were wise to ban the building of minarets because:
1. Freedom of religion is fundamental to Swiss law and European human rights treaties. Islam does not recognize the right of persons of other faiths - in fact, world wide, the persecution and torture of persons of other faiths or Muslims who convert to another faith are so well documented it isn’t worth my repeating the effort here.
2. A minaret is a simple and common architectural feature of a mosque, and is neither a safety risk nor a public nuisance however Muslim countries will not permit other faiths to build churches and temples their country. You won’t see chapels or Judaic temples in Muslim lands - they are not tolerated.
3. A minaret carries no political symbolism, according to those who insist that the rest of the world forcefully ignore what this lovely architectural feature has begun to be associated with.
4. Advertising campaigns to promote the law were racist, according to opponents of the ban, however they were never able to prove it so the ban went forward because the Swiss believe in ‘rule by law’.
5. The law may alienate Swiss Muslims, who are largely of European origin and are known to be moderate but Muslim activists are intentionally alienating the cultures within which they live. For example, Muslims of European origin in various countries of the EU want their own form of law, protest cartoons acceptable to the rest of the culture, want separate accommodations in pools, separate rules in many areas of life including Sharia law and the right of ‘honor killing’ that indeed alienates the majority populations in the countries they live in.
6. The international outcry against the law may have a negative influence on the Swiss economy and foreign relations but nowhere near the permanent damage done to the nation if it allows Muslims to dictate rules, laws, architecture etc. Once Sharia law is established in Europe, that country’s economy will bleed out as businesses seek safer places to operate.

from my understanding ...the Minaret is separate from the Mosque... it is a symbol of CONQUEST.. the area was conquered and is safe for OTHER MUZZIES. none of the Architectural BRAVO SIERA.
The Swiss just banned your signof conquest... they did not ban your DEATH CULT... they did not Round you up and Deport you, and you are still walking around..free..
